We know Vilamoura very well and the current choice of bars, cafes and restaurants is probably the best it's ever been with a range of superb places to please all tastes. Unfortunately the 19th Hole doesn't stand out in a positive way compared to its competitors.
Let's put it simply: if you want to drink mainstream stuff (e.g. Strongbow, Guinness, Super Bock, Budweiser etc.) whilst smoking then this is the place for you. Maybe you're reading this and that sounds like heaven. If so then good luck to you, you'll probably love it! For everyone else I would suggest that you keep walking.
I'm sure we were just unlucky but in the short time it took us to walk from the entrance of '19th Hole' to the bar we got the aggressive attention of a group of guys who seemed to feel that us politely saying "excuse me" was in some way the instigation of WWIII. As I say, I'm sure this is probably an unusual scenario for this bar however it was our first experience of the place and the guys in question clearly knew the bar staff and many of the 19th Hole's other clientele very well.
Personally I would recommend most other bars at Vilamoura marina ahead of this place but particularly 'The Brewery', 'Parky's' and 'O'Neill's'. All have a wider range of drinks and a vast choice of sports channels plus a really friendly environment. read more
