Item is a fairly quiet establishment, which I found nice. The staff was super friendly and attentive. For the food, I ordered the Nashville Chicken sandwich and a side of poutine fries. The portion size was really good, and I would absolutely come back

I had the Lebanese platter and my husband chose the Greek burger with fries. Our little one had a grilled cheese. Everything came out out and delicous. Even our little one's grilled cheese was done well. It tells me alot when they put in as much on presentation and taste in a children's meal as they do in an adults. Our flatbread was tasty. The crust was crisp and chewy and there was lots of cheese. The Greek Burger was delicious with a whole lot of tasty fries seasoned with Middle East flavours. The portion was huge. My husband couldn't finish it. My platter was delicous. The Fattoush Salad was one of the best ones I have had in a really long time. The dressing was light and citrusy, the pita was freshly baked and crunched and the veggies were fresh. I also had with it hummus and pita, rice and Kibbeh. Everything was good but the kibbeh was one of the best I have ever eaten. Full of fresh parsley and other herbs. The portions were huge. We ended up taking alot home. We also had homemade mint lemonade while I had a cocktail with Haskup vodka in it. Both were amazing. I won't eat anywhere else in Cold Lake. I am from Edmonton, and this place is just as good if not better than the places here. Server was quick and attentive. Give it a try.

I went in with high expectations and came out a little disappointed…read more I will just focus on the food. I ordered the combo plate with brisket and beef ribs, along with fries and and extra side of onion rings. The onion rings came quickly and were delicious. The sauce that came with them was spicy and tangy and went really well with them. Onto the meat! Firstly, it took about 40 minutes for us to get our food and there was only one or two other tables in the entire restaurant. When it did arrive I was disappointed. The brisket was a little on the cold side but the ribs were fairly hot. I found the meat to be subpar compared to some other bbq places that I've been to. The bbq sauce that came along with it was way too over powering. All I could taste was the molasses. I just used ketchup at the table to dip the meat in. The other sides (potato salad, pit beans, and slaw) were pretty good. I do have to say that our server (blue eyes blonde frizzy hair) was very friendly and apologized about the late food. Overall I do not think I would come back considering the price I paid.

I visited Buster's Pizza & Donair to buy a donair pita sandwich after a shift at work…read more It's part of a three restaurant mall strip - I often went to the other two restaurants, but I finally made it to Buster's - I decided it was time, because I really enjoy donairs. I ordered a regular beef donair, with tomatoes, lettuce and onions, accompanied with a donair sweet sauce. The vegetables were very fresh, the sliced donair meat (beef) was very tasty and so was the pita. The regular donair is the smallest, but even as the smallest, it is a very generous sized donair sandwich. I was so full and satisfied after being done!! The sweet sauce was also very delicious, and not overly sweet or garlicky. Buster's Pizza & Donair of Cold Lake, AB, is one of many franchises, so there is often one close by when you want delicious and excellent quality pizza and donairs. I give two thumbs up to Buster's for this great donair and very good service as well

The décor was a little dated, but for a small town was still better than most. The menu was far from exotic but had everything you would expect from a basic meat & potatoes restaurant. The server was reasonably polite and the food was reasonably good. If you're looking for a safe dining experience with no surprises then Sandpiper's is a good choice.
