Everyone here has been very professional and transparent paired with an excellent quality in their work in my experience. The vibe of the shop alone is enough for me to recommend checking the place out. Whether you want something small or a big piece done they will take good care of you. The only way I wouldn't recommend this place is if you are the type of person who doesn't tip your tattoo artist because they knock it out of the park with every piece.

We came in for some quick tattoos to celebrate my husband's 41st birthday, but this wasn't just any visit, it was something really special. I surprised him by flying in one of his childhood best friend that lives in Iowa, someone he hadn't seen in 23 years. Of course, we had to make the moment unforgettable, so getting tattoos together just made sense. We chose Ren & Stimpy... a perfect throwback to their childhood and honestly such a fun, meaningful way to capture this reunion. The artists absolutely nailed it. The detail, the vibe, everything came out better than we imagined. A close friend of ours comes here all the time and recommended the shop. Her artist is by appointment only (and clearly in high demand), but the two artists who worked on my husband and his friend were incredible--professional, friendly, and made the whole experience comfortable and fun from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was knowledgeable, and you can tell they take pride in both their work and cleanliness. Overall, such a memorable experience tied to a really special moment in our lives. Highly recommend Stedfast Tattoo, definitely a place we'll be coming back to!

Tropiks Ink 8450 W. Sahara Ave…read moreSte #101 Las Vegas, NV 89117 Tropiks Ink is located off Sahara Ave and South Durango Dr. I was looking around for a great tattoo artist who specializes in realism and portraits. This tattoo was going to be of my beautiful pupp that I recently lost, so the details and specifics meant everything to me. I searched around quite a bit throughout Las Vegas, especially looking through artists' posted work, detail shots, pricing and overall styles. There are a lot of talented artists here in Las Vegas! After going through multiple artists' work, emails and pricing, I decided to go with Joe Castillo at Tropiks Ink. Something inside me said he was the right person to do this artwork. The realism and detail in his work that I saw online was pretty amazing. Tropiks Ink is a no-nonsense place of business. It's not some flashy Strip-style studio or overly high-end looking place. It's a comfortable, clean and laid-back studio where each artist rents their own space and does their thing. Honestly, I liked that. The vibes were cool, the atmosphere was relaxed and the conversations between the artists and customers were funny and interesting. I felt comfortable there. When we met Joe Castillo, he was very nice and got right into the specifics of what I wanted. I had already sent him ideas beforehand, but because he's the professional, I wanted his honest opinion on whether certain details would work with my skin tone, placement and overall realism. Most importantly, I needed to know if he could truly execute the details I wanted. Joe told me something that immediately stood out to me. He said, "I would never tattoo someone-not for any amount of money-if I knew I couldn't do it." At that moment, I knew I picked the right artist. I ended up getting two tattoos done that day and the entire process took about 2 1/2 hours. When it was finally done and I looked at them for the first time, I cried. My tattoos came out amazing -- exactly how I envisioned them, with a few slight tweaks from Joe's professional opinion that honestly made them even better. He explained everything first, asked for my approval and then took the lead from there. He was right. The most important part of this tattoo was my pupp's realistic eyes. That absolutely had to be spot on-and they were. Perfectly done. There are multiple artists at Tropiks Ink, all with different styles and specialties, and you can find many of them on Instagram. If you call the shop, they'll also guide you toward the artist that best fits what you're looking for. I absolutely recommend Joe Castillo at Tropiks Ink. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you Joe! I'll see you again. Respectfully

He was quick to write it up for me on the app, talked to me about his opinion regarding the font and style, and it helped me towards my ultimate decision. He definitely has a talent for lettering and script art, and I noticed it after my first piece. All the artists there do amazing work! I'll be going back in the future for more.
