This review is intended for 1800 Flowers in general--not just the Jerico, NY location. They have just provided me with EXCELLENT customer service. I ordered flowers for a memorial gathering for a 100-year-old WWII veteran and they were delivered (what I thought--4 PM) late in the day. I had complained to the company via Chat on their web site and they agreed to waive the shipping cost. I think that's terrific. Here's the thing: I ordered the flowers from my work computer and don't normally check my emails on the weekend, but I did check right after my chat, and indeed, I see that on my order confirmation email, it states that the delivery window is between 9:00am and 8:00pm. When I asked for the shipping fee to be waived, I did not know this! Now, it would have been nice if the delivery window was made clear to me during the ordering process (and not the confirmation email), but regardless, 1800 Flowers decided to grant me what I had asked for, and I think that's TERRIFIC! Flowers ordered February 1st for February 3rd delivery. Received this email on February 3rd at 10:00am... "Your order, (order # deleted), is being prepared for today's delivery. She continued to give me a sales pitch in an attempt to get me to accept the order arriving tomorrow rather than receive a full refund. When I insisted on the full refund, she told me she would have to put me on hold for several minutes, turns out, it was just another representative trying to talk me out of the full refund. Flowers.com has gone downhill! I ordered an arrangement on 8/4 to be delivered on 8/7 for the death of a friend for his wife to have at the home for the family gathering. It was never delivered. Customer service could not give me a reason why. They rescheduled the delivery for 8/12. Again, it never arrived! What a joke! So, upsetting. So then again, the rescheduled it to be delivered on 8/15. It was never delivered. they wanted to resend again! WHAT are they crazy I have spent so much wasted time on the phone with them. They made us look foolish with our friend every time we told her an arrangement was arriving along with making Flowers.com look so incompetent! We will never use this service again I asked for a refund, and they did give it to me, but I also wanted a refund for the yearly membership, but they said they could not do that. I would recommend not using them. I will also make sure everyone I know friends and family and on my social media knows not to use flowers.com the online service. If they had been at least honest and told me what the problem was but they made it a big mystery. I ordered flowers and a figurine for my mother for mother's day. The total order came to $180.00. When the items were delivered, the figurine was damaged/broken. I reached out to 1-800-FLOWERS to request for a refund. I was appalled that they refused to give me a full refund, instead said they could only give me a 50% refund with $20.00 credit. If you are thinking about ordering flowers or plants, I encourage you to check for toxicity first. Do they have cats, dogs or small children? My local florist had 5 different plants but all of them were toxic to dogs. I know my friends have dogs, so I checked 1800Flowers. They had several safe options. I ordered the large 14-16" tall gardenia in an aluminum planter. The website showed it in full bloom for effect. However, I knew it is too soon for that so I was expecting greenery only. It delivered on time and it brightened our friends' day. They sent us a picture and it looks taller than expected. Once they transplant it, I'm sure it will flourish. read more

I placed an order with 1 800 Flowers (W01005932960708) and paid an additional fee to have my flowers delivered today between 3:00 - 6:00 when I knew that someone would be home. The flowers were delivered early at 12:41 when no one was home. They left the flowers sitting in front of the house. I spent a great deal of time on the phone with 1 800 Flowers who was very helpful and considerate. They called Express Flowers. No one answered. They left a vm message and did not get a return call. I finally tracked down Express Flowers. A cell phone was answered by their customers service rep at 3:45 while she was driving with her two young daughters screaming in the car while making a delivery. She confirmed that their company did deliver the flowers and sent me a photo of the house. She did not have a photo of the flowers because their third party delivery company was not using the 1 800 Flowers app that they are suppose to use. She also confirmed that Express Flowers cannot control the time that the third party delivery company makes their deliveries. I explained to her that Express Flowers was out of compliance with their 1 800 Flowers contract. She offered to send me the owners email address, and then decided to end the call instead. 1 800 Flowers needs to terminate their contract with Express Flowers for non compliance. Needless to say it did detract from our special day. I will say that 1800Flowers.com is consistent. Consistently bad and emotionally predatory. Flowers have a deep connection to special moments in life. Marriage is one, honoring the memory of someone you love is another. After the passing of a loved one I sent for an arrangement to my grieving family - only for the arrangement to never arrive. After two lengthy discussion with support I opted for a full refund as the company expressed they could not deliver the arrangement until much later, outside of what would be reasonable. I'm beyond upset. When someone is celebrating a special moment, or grieving the loss of a loved one a company built on the idea of sending flowers should JUST DELIVER THE FLOWERS. 1800Flowers.com has chosen to be opaque about delivery status, dodgy when asking to resolve the concern, and hesitant to issue a full refund in the face of someone grieving the loss of a loved one. Ordered flowers for my aunt's funeral in 2021. Paid with my credit card. The 1800Flowers representative sent me an email confirming my order, and the amount paid. She had misspelled words on the card, and fixed that. She called me about 20 minutes after I placed the order. She said the charge did not go through, and she requested that I give her a different credit card. I told her I did not understand why the charge did not go through, because there is money on the card. I asked her to please hold on while I called my credit card company. She said she was in a hurry, and that it would be better to give her a different credit card number. I gave her a different credit card number. I later called the first credit company to find out why the charge was denied. Was told that the charge was not denied, and that the 1800Flowers representative overcharged me! Was told that she had charged my credit card a total of three times! I got very nervous! I called my second credit card company, and they said she charged for the flowers on that credit card, too! While grieving my aunt's death, I had to deal with this blatant fraud. I closed both credit cards. Was inconvenienced for 3 weeks because I did not have my credit cards! Beware folks! read more

For my mothers 60th birthday, I ordered 3 dozen of pastel colored long stem roses w/a clear vase. Over half of the flowers were withering, she didn't get the full 3 dozen, and the bouquet was completely wrong. I ordered these flowers 3 weeks in advance so that she would have them the day before her birthday and before leaving out of town the next day. The errors are inexcusable considering they had more than enough time to get this right. There was no room for error when they had 21 days. Complete Bait and Switch! I ordered sympathy flowers for a co worker to be delivered by a certain date. The next day I discovered the flowers were not delivered and saw that the delivery date was changed to Sept 27th. I had amuch earlier delivery date when I ordered. When I called to speak to someone I was told it was asystem glitch at first that the date changed. I was never notified about this about my order. I asked to speak to a manager as the guy could do nothing for me. The manager said this was never in stock and should not have been on the site but I can order something else. Complete bait and switch. You advertise a certain item the customer pays come to find out you need to buy something else. I could also not get a refund or any credit. After 3 hours I had them cancel my order. Never got a confirmation on that so will now have to contact my credit card company. I also asked to for the coporate office and was not given a number but transfered. The 2 reps I spoke to were very nice but their manager still said no refund and I could get 10% credit on my next order. Unacceptable, I was clearly very upset they did not care. Really zero stars. We ordered a floral spray for a memorial service from 1800Flowers.com for delivery in Connecticut. Cost was over $200. Two days before the service a vase with flowers arrived. Not what we ordered. Thus began a series of calls with reps who don't speak English well, take forever on the phone, and promise to speak with the local florist and call you back but won't. I called back and was told the spray would arrive by 8pm the next day. It didn't. Then they said it would come the day of the memorial. It didn't. 1800 Flower not only screwed up our floral arrangement, they wasted my time and caused stress when we wanted to focus on the memorial ceremony. In the end the product I ordered never arrived. And the flowers they did send were already dying. What a s*^*tty service.
