You sit under umbrellas or pavilions and enjoy the view onto the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed. Children play and nobody minds. The service is nice and quick. Of course, there is a different (and shorter) menu to choose from then in the restaurant. The emphasis lies on anything grilled. We have had the spare ribs (great), yesterday we tried the cheeseburger and did not regret it: in comparison with burgers from those well known fast food chains this here is definitely the better choice. The meat was well done but nevertheless juicy, tomato and lettuce were fresh and crisp.The size of the burger and the portion of French Fries and the salad were more than decent and above average. As dessert we had (homemade!) ice cream, very recommendable. In addition to the standard menus the restaurant recurrently offers special theme days or weeks. Recently there was Thai on the menu that we missed unfortunately. But supposedly the Thai theme will return sometime in the future. We will definitely come this time. Of course the barbecue area is something for summer exclusively. But by chance we learnt that the place will be remodeled to stay open all year long. We really had high expectations, considering the price, what else can you expect. We arrived and we were led into this very dark room. To sit in this room is very uncomfortable, it seems quite small, tight together as if all the tables were close together and it was very loud. The first course was this soup with potatoes, which seemed like soup of salt with potatoes. The saltiest soup I have ever had in my life. Really... Then it was a salad that was terrible just arugula with a big chunk of this supposed goat cheese, it was quite weird tasting. Then for main course was this gnocchi and these fried mushroom pastry thing which were super greasy and over the top nasty. It also came with this soggy spinach that must have been frozen before. I couldn't believe it. The last course was this chocolate mousse. Seemed like it would be from a box pre made. The only reason why I can justify one star to this place was because the hostess was very kind. Other than that, the food was absolutely terrible. Sad but true :(
