I was told that the ladder on the boat was an item that breaks a lot and that I should really get their insurance in case I break it. I declined again saying that we will make sure not to break the ladder. After the boat had been dropped off after use, a few staff members were whispering and pointing during the after-rental checks. I asked what the issue was, and they tried to explain that I broke the ladder and it will cost me $1000. I told them I made sure the ladder was up before driving and that we did nothing to break it and they continued whispering and pointing but ultimately decided that "the pictures they took were wrong" and that I did not break the ladder. (pretty sure they would have scammed me for breaking this ladder if I had not been watching them during the checks). This whole experience is a shame because everything else about the rental was exceptional. The boat was very nice, timely customer service and very helpful staff.

I keep my bass boat on my lake property located in Mexico Mo. I've always had it serviced at boat…read moredealers in or near St. Louis until this week when, on my neighbor's (Mexico) recommendation, I took it to Perry Boat and Motor, which is only about 35 min from Mexico. He claimed that I'd get good results at reasonable rates there. Well, I am certainly glad I took his advice! I called them and was told I could drop my boat off that same day. (I was used to being told it would be a number of days/weeks just to drop it off, then who knows how long before they could eventually get it into their shop.) I dropped my boat off late that afternoon on my way home to St. Louis. While filling out my work order, the cashier, Marie, even suggested that I could walk into their shop and speak to the mechanics, Mike and Kevin, about the sputtering problem I was having with my outboard. (I felt that was a nice touch.) They ended up calling me around noon on the second day to tell me my boat was fixed and ready for pick up. My total bill was a whopping $152.00!!! I definitely will have my boat serviced from now on at West Perry Boat & Motor!
