He claimed that I'd get good results at reasonable rates there. Well, I am certainly glad I took his advice! I called them and was told I could drop my boat off that same day. (I was used to being told it would be a number of days/weeks just to drop it off, then who knows how long before they could eventually get it into their shop.) I dropped my boat off late that afternoon on my way home to St. Louis. While filling out my work order, the cashier, Marie, even suggested that I could walk into their shop and speak to the mechanics, Mike and Kevin, about the sputtering problem I was having with my outboard. (I felt that was a nice touch.) They ended up calling me around noon on the second day to tell me my boat was fixed and ready for pick up. My total bill was a whopping $152.00!!! It was around 5:00 PM but they answered the phone. I explained where I was And what happened. He checked to see if he had the correct tire in stock and he did. Said I needed someone to come take the tire off, return to the tire shop, put the new tire on my rim, and then return to get it back on the 5th wheel. Manager said that would be $30 extra--very reasonable. He asked how I would pay. I answered check, cc, or cash. About this time a huge tstorm started raining buckets of rain but a few minutes later the tech pulled up next to me. I told the tech I wasn't in that big of a hurry if he wanted to wait until the storm let up some. He said not to worry, he'd get it. Within 30 minutes, he was back with the new tire and had it on and requested a check for payment. Yes they took an out of state check without even looking at my ID. I gave the guy an extra $20 and was on my way in less than an hour from when I first arrived. Keep in mind it was raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock the entire time.
