I know most people prefer to go to chicken hof & soju for fried chicken but to be honest I think…read morethis place is the best. My parents grew up in Seoul and they have been to this place and said that their fried chicken tastes better than Seoul. This place is made for drinking. I am disappointed that the people that go there hardly drink at all. Customers there make my friends and I look like alcoholics. The fried chicken is to die for. I am not into the stick sauced up ones. I am into the traditional dry fried chicken that you dip in salt and pepper. Their stews are quite tasty as well. If you are looking for a good korean drinking place with korean speaking waiters and waitresses you have found the right place.

We were craving Korean food after a day of sightseeing and adventures. Thankfully, our last…read moredestination was in TST where there are streets dedicated to Korean foodies. Hansung Co. was not in our minds immediately, but after walking around, it made sense that this place was a local favorite (find the spot with the longest lines). Luckily, we were only a party of 3 and thus seated fairly quick. The foods on the menu looked so delicious, but this is what we ordered: Kimchi based soup - 4/5 Chicken wings - 5/5 Beef bulgogi - 3.5/5 Soju - 2/5 I enjoyed the kimchi soup since it is similar to what I have had and tasted very good. The chicken wings were amazing and the first that I had in a Korean restaurant. Apparently, the wings are famous at Hansung. And lastly, the beef bulgogi was alright. I was a bit disappointed since it was plain and dry. All of these dishes were topped off with Soju (Korean ethanol drink). This was insane and not for individuals with weak stomach. Overall, this was a good taste of Korean in Hong Kong and potentially a return.

Kimberly Street in TST is known to many locals as simply 'Korean Street' due to the vast number of…read moreKorean supermarkets and restaurants there. My friends and I were nearby today and decided to find a place for lunch there. We were actually all late and meeting up at 1:30pm ended up to be meeting up at 2pm, so we were all pretty hungry by then. We didn't do much poking around - we went to the first restaurant we saw, Sue Korean Restaurant. From the menu outside, the variety of food seemed good and prices were affordable, so we didn't even hesitate. The restaurant is quite small and from the looks of it, can't sit more than thirty people. There isn't much decor to speak of and the restaurant actually looked a little old. There were tons of lunch sets to choose from, and I settled on the pork bibimbap. One of my friends got the rice with marinated chicken, and my other friend (who coincidentally is Korean) ordered the Korean vermicelli in seafood soup. The food didn't take long to come. My bibimbap arrived first in all its sizzling glory - it smelled really good and I wanted to dig in, but it was just so hot! The pork was surprisingly tender, but I actually found the rice a little bland tasting. My friend who ordered the marinated chicken rice said it was pretty good, but that there was way too much rice. My Korean friend said that her vermicelli tasted 'too Chinese' and wasn't very authentic. In contrast, she tried a little bit of my bibimbap and said that this was pretty much the real deal. Our lunches also came with this potato radish soup served in a bowl that looked identical to a miso soup bowl. The soup was quite nice and wasn't too salty. I would say that a meal here is pretty worth it. None of us were able to finish our food - the portions were just way too big! I only made it three quarters through before giving up. My bibimbap costed only $50, and there was no service charge! I was quite impressed with Sue Korean, but the next time I am back at Kimberly Street, I'll probably want to try out other Korean restaurants instead of returning to this one.
