Beautiful hotel in South Kensington area. Close to tube station, Hyde Park, within walking distance to various cafés, restaurants, bus tour hop on/hop off station, and we were able to walk to Buckingham Palace. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options and tasted great! They also have a restaurant and bar downstairs called ESQ. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here!

Did an afternoon tea at their tea room Botanica. Such a gorgeous room with delicious teas and treats! Our waiter was super helpful and even gave us a 50% discount! A must do while in London!!

What a wonderful hotel, and in such a great location. Our room was very small and compact, but comfortable. To be noted hotel rooms are always small in London. The staff were friendly, efficient and pleasant. The decor is gorgeous. The breakfast was also very well stocked with plenty of choices for everyone. A really nice hotel. I recommend. The concierge gentleman was also fabulous, and he recommended a nice Chinese restaurant for us, which we appreciated.

Beautiful, updated facilities, and rooms, but retains its charm. The staff was exceptionally gracious and helpful.

Also, this is one of the few hotels that have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom option without costing you over a thousand dollars a night. We came here at the end of July, and right after a massive heat wave. Our first room was beautiful and spacious for a hotel in London. The room came fully stocked with a kitchen and all the utensils and cooking tools needed if you wanted to make some meals in room. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't functioning. We ended up opening the windows (yes, this hotel has windows that open!) and got a good cross breeze. I reached out to hotel management and informed them of the problem. They brought up some swamp coolers and fans, with the promise to move us the next day to another room. We were promptly moved to a room on the other side of the hotel. It was a bit smaller in size, but was away from the busy roadway. Staff were fantastic. From the bell staff, front desk, housekeeping, restaurant/bar. All very friendly and responsive. The bedrooms are tight and tiny, so just be prepared. The bathrooms are small but adequate with stand up glass showers. The beds were super soft and cozy and the towels were large and plush. I appreciated the complementary cans of water to start off our stay. The bonus of this location, you are located right next door to probably the best Tesco in London. Tesco is a large grocery store, like Safeway back in the USA. We got lots of snacks, candies, and other essentials we ran out of during our stay. Remember to sign up for a Tesco rewards account, to save $. Each morning you get a free full hot breakfast. It is robust and includes delicious pastries and there is a fancy coffee machine to make lattes and mochas. All in all, great spot to spend our first six days in London.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed and cared for as a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. Mr. Paolo Guarini, the General Manager, and his exceptional team went above and beyond at every step, and their passion, professionalism, and warmth truly made my stay unforgettable. The property is impeccably maintained, with a modern elevator and attention to every detail that immediately makes you feel at home. Housekeeping was flawless--always replenishing water, providing my preferred L'Occitane toiletries, and happily accommodating my request for a small fridge for my medication. Breakfast quickly became a highlight, with the Eggs Benedict Royale perfectly prepared every morning. I especially want to commend Alejandro, the restaurant manager, who from day 2 onward personally ensured my breakfast experience was flawless, and Albino, who always welcomed me with the best cappuccino. My favorite outdoor table, with my Americano and sweetener ready, made every morning feel truly special. What impressed me most was how the team treated feedback as a gift. On day 1, my breakfast experience wasn't perfect, but after sharing my thoughts, Mr. Guarini personally addressed it with the team, and Alejandro and his team ensured perfection for the remainder of my stay. Meeting Mr. Guarini on my last day, I could see firsthand how much he genuinely cares about guest experiences--it was thoughtful, gracious, and sincere. A particularly memorable moment was when my stay needed to be extended by a day due to a flight change--Mr. Guarini made it happen within minutes, keeping the same room and rate. This level of care and attention makes a guest feel truly valued. While not the cheapest Marriott in London, the value, service, and genuine kindness of the team make every penny worthwhile. They don't just recognize Platinum Elites--they anticipate your needs and make you feel truly at home. Next time, I hope to enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness facilities, which I know can be arranged via the Concierge team. I consider this now my home away from home when I'm in London, and I will happily return. Every detail, every interaction, and every gesture reminded me why Hotel Xenia is exceptional, and I am deeply grateful to Mr. Guarini and his team for making my stay so unforgettable. Giving this property my highest recommendation.

The hotel had to meet a few requirements: 1) free breakfast. 2) Comfortable room 3) Be located near an Underground station 4) reasonably priced. This met them all by being a well-known brand, without breaking the bank. The employees are friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is located a 5-10 minute walk from the District and Piccadilly lines as well as the West Brompton train station. If you are in town for a football match at Stamford Bridge (Go Chelsea!) you are about a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel and lobby is very nice and clean. My room was very comfortable with a decent sized bathroom. It was clean with the exception of some mildewed grout in the shower. The breakfast was better than most. Lots of choices for food and drink. Plan it carefully because the later you sit down to eat, the more crowded it is. At times it was hard to find a clean table to sit at. And although it's supposed to start at 7 am we were able to grab some food at 6 am one morning. At night they serve drinks at a small bar. Considering how expensive London can be, this place offers a lot at a reasonable price. There are plenty of pubs and markets minutes away. I will definitely stay again next year.

Take the short cut as you walk down the hotel one way driveway to Hogarth Road. Then it's 5 minutes to the tube entrance. Catch the Piccadilly line to Heathrow. 2) there's an executive lounge onsite. Located sub level. Friendly hotel staff. The concierge Ash was very nice. He actually walked us outside down the hotel driveway to show us how easy it was to get to Hogarth Road. The hotel proximity to two underground tube stations was a big plus. And a very short walk to Kensington High St shopping district and restaurants was nice and convenient. We called a week before to confirm that the bed would be set up upon arrival as we were flying from California and would likely want to check-in and go right to bed. At check-in, they confirmed that the bed was in the room however when we got to the room we had been supplied with a pack-and-play for a baby. We called down and they eventually brought up a roll-away bed that looked older than me (late 40s) The room itself was tiny with limited, to no, storage. The room was also extremely hot, to the post that two in our group felt nauseated and had to go down to the street to cool down. After a few days of dealing with the heat, they sent up an engineer who by some miracle turned the AC on for us. The room felt tired and in need of a refresh. During our stay, only two elevators were working, one being out of order. We were there during the London Book Fair so the hotel was at capacity, not an ideal time to be down an elevator. It became a standing joke when getting on and off the elevator for our fellow passengers to wish us good luck.. The day after the book fair ended, the third, and apparently fastest, elevator was repaired. Good news for people staying after us. I will say the staff were lovely, from check-in desk to the members working the breakfast room. We all also thoroughly enjoyed the included breakfast, the selection was varied, the food delicious, and the coffee machines were a great option. I might even say that this was the best included breakfast we've had in recent memory. All in all, it was an okay stay. Black mold everywhere! Absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed in. A danger to your health staying…read morehere! When checking in, we were told we were upgraded. What a joke! I noticed reviews here saying to avoid the basement so when I heard Room 602, I thought "oh good, the 6th floor". Wrong! Rooms starting with "6" are all in the basement. Immediately upon entering the room, the most damp, rotten, and moist smell. Being in the basement, you can't open the single small window. We thought it was coming from the AC so we turned it off and heading out to sight see on our last day in the city. When we came back at around 10pm, the smell was even worse. We narrowed down the smell to originating from the bathroom. I thought it was coming from the drain but soon realized there was black mold growing on the tile grout, the wood on the door, and even the shelves on the wall. How can room service or management not see this? The bathroom fan was broken and probably has not been working in months, which is why so much mold has grown from the shower moisture. These rooms are never properly cleaned and it's shameful they've been neglected this long. It honestly smelled like a house which has been flooded with sewer water. The moldy smell gave us headaches and coughs. Now past 10PM, it wasn't worth us arguing to get another room so we decided we'd just check out at 5AM and just head to the airport early. The room itself was not great either. The bed was rock hard and the security safe did not work. Carpets were stained and artwork/mirrors had layers of dust on them. When checking out, we told the guy at the front desk how atrocious and unsafe the room was with the black mold and smell. He just said he would let management know. That's it! There wasn't a sincere apology or even an offer for partial reimbursement. I doubt him or management will do anything as there are many review with similar experiences here that I wish I had seen prior. He informed us our receipt would be emailed and didn't even say have a good day or anything. Sad! It's now, 2 days since checking out and I noticed 2 charges on my credit card statement from Hotel Indigo as if I stayed 2 nights there. I had to contact them to send my receipt again and finally received it. Now I'm waiting to get this second charge removed and getting over a cough from staying in the room. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here! For over $300 a night, there are many better options in London. Your health matters and this place should be shut down. Do not fall for the "you've been upgraded" junk. I look forward to hearing their canned response to my review here.
