I can't imagine eating like this all the time -- there was so much food, and it was so delicious! I would have a hard time recounting all of the courses (had I not photographed them all!), but the most memorable one was a roasted suckling pig. Other flavors abounded -- eggplant and zucchini in a pot-pie type pastry shell, more meats & cheeses than I can recount, baked potato dumplings, chickpea spread, black rice, bell peppers, marmalades, and baked cheese with honey for the dessert. All of this was accented by a terrific red wine. This was also the first time that I tried mirto, a traditional Sardinian liqueur that is both a dessert wine and a digestive aid. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy an authentic Sardinian meal experience in a cool underground atmosphere!

It looked like a croissant but was shaped like a triangle, layered and flaky, and had a dollop of Nutella on top. Super delicious and it was a treat both in food and ambiance!

These guys definitely take pride in being a Cagliari icon…read more Everyone I talked to who told me about their Cagliari experience recommended I go to Libarium Nostrum for the views of the city especially. I went for lunch with a new friend after a walking tour. We were offered seating outside, but had to sit in the sun...it was not fun eating while sweating and squinting! Prices are a bit steep, especially if you tack on drinks and appetizers. I went with one dish (spaghetto)...which is basically spaghetti as Americans know it. I thought it would be a "boring" dish since it was just pasta + tomato sauce, but the tomato sauce was REALLY good. Very fresh, and had a distinct, sweet, tangy flavor! I suppose I'd recommend the next tourist to come out here, perhaps when it's cooler and when the sun is setting. That should offer some extraordinary views!

They turn most of their tables at around 1900 to be ready for their dinner service. Our first waitress was amazing and the Aperol Spritzers + Pimms Cup + frozen drinks were equally amazing .. and the best we've had this trip. Our second waitress not so much: the level of attention dropped significantly after 1900. They bring out small plate of nibbles for you to share. Last note: I understand not wanting to split checks with credit cards, but not allowing people to pay for their own drinks using cash? Poor form. Gorgeous view of the city!
