WARNING: My car was stolen at 1-Parking-storage
My BMW X5 was stolen in early September 2024 while it was in the care of 1-Parking in Tariff Zone 3 "guarded in a closed garage." According to 1-Parking, vehicles booked in this tariff are stored in a monitored hall. In reality, this is not true, as the hall is not under video surveillance (as confirmed to me by 1-Parking via email), and there also appears to be no staff member assigned to monitor it.
I only learned about the theft on November 3, 2024, when I went to pick up my car at Málaga Airport. When I called 1-Parking to confirm our arrival and that we would be collecting the car in a few minutes, they told me over the phone that they could not find the vehicle and that I would have to file a police report myself.
The fact that the car was stolen before September 12 is proven by a speeding camera photo for which I received a payment demand, even though I was not in Spain at the time. In mid-August, I had just renewed the contract, despite having been dissatisfied for some time.
To make matters worse, the company has neither paid for the taxi from the airport to my home nor refunded the annual fee of €760 (I no longer have a car to park here--it was stolen!). 1-Parking has not responded to the incident in any way! The management is unreachable, and employees do not respond to numerous emails or even in-person visits! My insurance company has still not received any reply from 1-Parking's insurer.
