It was a snowy day and the driving conditions were pretty atrocious -- but full credit to the driver, who drove very conservatively and delivered me without any alarms. The driver was definitely one of those strong, silent types -- he didn't say a word all journey, even though the weather would have provided an obvious conversation-opener -- but perhaps this was deliberate to help him concentrate on the task in hand. There was no radio blaring away, nor even the two-way intercom-type-thing most cabbies use to keep in touch with their HQ. From my point of view, the journey was a welcome chance to sit and just 'be', really I'd use these people again. The fare was reasonable, the taxi clean, and what they lacked in friendly conversation they more than made up for in good driving -- which is, after all, the main point of a taxi company.

The traffic tends to flow well and the drivers' lane discipline is generally good on this stretch of motorway There are frequent service stations, some even with KFC! From initial outreach to planning/booking to the trip itself, our 8-person group had a fantastic time, and loved our experience in various villages of the North Cotswolds plus Castle Combe and Bath. Lisa was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, helping us to shape a multi-day tour for our family. She was highly responsive and communicated clearly in answering our questions and helping us consider the options. Once we arrived in the Cotswolds, Dave provided an amazing experience for our multi-day tour. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny throughout the tour, and provided excellent advice on when to rearrange the itinerary to get us to popular spots before they were overrun with people. We greatly appreciated his expertise and flexibility in adjusting the plan as we went to let us spend more or less time in spots based on our preferences -- which, given our family, was necessary more than once, and a huge bonus to a private tour vs. public tour. The Go Cotswolds vehicle was roomy, comfortable, and well-air conditioned, a plus given that we arrived mid-heat wave. Our tour was the perfect way to explore this beautiful region for the first time. We can't wait to come back!

Building - is old. Cute but old. That could work but it seems it doesn't get the TLC it needs and instead just spotty fixes here and there. Difficult to drag a luggage through and very low ceilings. Definitely not accessible for anyone differently abled. Room - dingy looking and small. Size is fine since I was only in my room evenings and early mornings but I felt uncomfortable getting comfortable because the old carpet, upholstered chairs and questionable blanket made me wonder how clean the room was. A/C - doesn't allow you to adjust it at all. Bed - hard and uncomfortable with flat pillows and no sheets. A comforter only and a dingy throw blanket that I wouldn't touch. Amenities- shampoo and body wash with some bar soap is provided but that's it. No water bottles provided. Tea bags and a kettle but when I went to make a cup of tea and poured the milk packets in I ended up pouring in spoiled milk. So no cup of tea for me. There is a fridge so you can fill it up on your own. Bathroom - tub that didn't drain and backed up during first use; was quite gross. The staff was quick to fix it but due to old plumbing it is still quite slow to drain. Mold In the shower on the wall and some questionable stains on the ceiling (which is quite low and I am only 5'3"). The tub walls are high which is a feat for my short legs to get in and out of and the shower is quite narrow. A cold faucet and a hot faucet in the sink - I get that it has old world charm but it's just not practical anymore. Ground floor room (concerning to me since I'm a single female traveler but I made due) and when i came back to my room after a long day out, the window in the room was left wide open by the cleaning staff. Total safety concern at that point. Secondly, bugs had gotten into the room. I had to deal with a few months and crawly things which made their way in through the open window (with no screen). Food - Breakfast starts at 7. Food is very good but it's a late start for those who may be here for work as I am. And the restaurant closes at 10. I arrived at 10 from the airport and was stuck with no food options other than sandwiches which I couldn't eat due to being celiac. The staff was very helpful in helping me to find a take away place that was still open to deliver and gave me a pot of tea while I waited. I did not get to eat any other meal beside breakfast. The buffet is minimal so make time for the hot breakfast if you want something substantial. Two stars for the location and the lovely staff but I wouldn't stay here again. Really wish I had a portable cup of tea right now...

It is a basic hotel, but its location is right downtown and is very central to most activities. The tub is slippery getting in or out. No wash cloths, and only 1 large bath towel and 1 hand towel for the two of us Free coffee and tea in room as well.
