I went and got the security guards to do something about it and they were drunk and laughed in my face. He went and got his boss who was also drunk and eventually he took the guy away. Overall, this club made me feel extremely uncomfortable. There were men grabbing at me and when I told them to stop they wouldn't until I asked several times. Do not go here, it is an extremely poorly run establishments.

Three stars for running a smooth operation, and for the fact that the bartenders do an admirable job of never losing their cool. Throw a small tip their way when you get the chance; they'll really appreciate it and really deserve it.

I think most people prob write an update when they feel something has changed at a place they have…read morepreviously reviewed. Well I'm writing this update because nothing has changed with WerkzeugH and that's the most awesome news of all. WerkzeugH is still a five-star hugely popular hangout where you can drown your sorrows in beer after an FK Austria Wien loss or a Philadelphia Phillies defeat .... or you can philosophize about the world you live in - from the awesome to the suck. This is still the coolest Lokal in Vienna - outdoors or indoors, Sunday brunch or Saturday evening. Hipster, bobo, striver, loser, philosopher, musician, grandpa, grandkid - all are welcome here. But listen - if you get worked up because you are going to both smell ... and probably smell of ... smoke, if you can't stand waiting for food that may or may not be delivered to your table in this century, if you expect an ordered world that you have some control over - WerkzeugH is certain to be your hell. Kindly just hang at another pub. However, if you can view chaos as a first step towards a higher level of consciousness ... and you might somehow manage to survive a walk to the WC through wifts of cigarette smoke sent spiraling into the air by dozens of people engaged in deep conversations all around you ... and you are capable of eating your salad with a spoon because no one can find a clean fork at that moment in time - then hike, bike or U-bahn it over to WerkzeugH and relish one of the most timeless places in Vienna. There are lots of establishments in other cities that strive for the intense chill oxymoron that characterizes this unique Lokal - from Munich to Berlin, Budapest to Prague, Paris to Barcelona - wannabe cool places try so hard to approach the ambience of this coming-together spot with its post-industrial nooks and crannies and colorful Schanigarten filled with attic-rescued mismatched furniture. But the fact is - there is only one WerkzeugH in this entire world and that one WerkzeugH is in a very old city called Vienna .... and in a very cool district named Margareten. And you will probably upgrade your mobile phone five times and counting before the engaging atmosphere of this modern-day Viennese institution will undergo any change!

Oh NO, Oh NO ... it's going to become like any other multi-plex cinema that can be found all over the western world. But fear not. New seats and paint have not altered the Schickaneder. It's still one of the coolest movie theatres around. And their bar & café areas are among the best on the Margaretenstraße. If you're hanging out there with a group, try for the window table & seats...and I literally mean window table! By the way, you buy your cinema ticket at the bar along with your drinks. I just saw at the Schickaneder one of the best Austrian films I've ever seen in my life - "High Performance." Totally awesome! I remember them filming it last year in the ultra-cool WerkzeugH across the street from me. One more thing - the Schickaneder has other events besides films so be sure to check out their monthly schedule. With the Film Casino and the Schickaneder in my neighborhood, I'm in a vérité cinema heaven!!
