Not gonna lie, this was the main attraction and reason for my visit to the region. It was the one…read morething I wanted to see and made sure it was the last thing I saw on my way out of town. I have been obsessing over Lucy for a bit and needed to make a visit. Guess we can go over the history a bit. Built in 1882, this stands as the oldest roadside attraction in the country. Novelty architecture was used to model this building after Jumbo, the famous elephant from Barnum and Bailey's. Also, to note, Lucy is a boy. Lucy was first known as 'Elephant Bazaar' and used for real estate advertising. When Lucy changed hands around 1887, it went through changes of business type. 1902 brought the Lucy moniker. Through the 20th century Lucy served as a restaurant, business office, and tavern on the business side of things. Supposedly during prohibition the 'eyes' of Lucy would let patrons know if they were open or being raided. It also served as a way to get items into the building without detection. Lucy also served as a home for a time. You can see evidence of this when you visit. There are markings on the walls inside that would tell you they added a floor to add rooms. You can also look into an area that is one of the legs where they added a bathtub. Small, but pretty cool. In the 1960s Lucy started to fall into disrepair. Because of this Lucy was slated for demolition, but in 1970 they fought and saved the building. In fact, Lucy had to be moved from its original spot to its current spot. Then fundraising started to restore the building. Speed up to today. I stopped by on my way out of the area for my visit. I got here early and was worried that I might be ticketed or towed if I had stayed parked in the spots immediately in front of Lucy. I decided to park on the street, plenty of parking there without the threat of towing. Currently you have to visit a building across the street to purchase a ticket for admission and this is where the gift shop is. Tours of the inside happen roughly every 45 minutes starting at opening. You go up as a group and get a guided tour. Take it from me, a tour from a local is better than one you might get from part time employee that is a teenager. Our tour guide was amazing and gave us so much interesting information. They give you the details about the time it was a residence and the prohibition thing. Once you see the inside and get all the lowdown on it, you get to venture up to the howdah. This is the carriage portion of Lucy. From here you get some great views of the area. You see the beach and ocean, water tower with Lucy on it, and the condo building that necessitated the move of Lucy. You are basically walking on glass up here too. Although you cannot see through the glass. There is so much care in this building. They recently finished recladding the exterior of the building and plan to do more here in the coming months and years. Give Lucy a visit if you are in the area and explore and very unique building. How this beach bum has never been to Ventnor before today is beyond me!…read more Pretty and quaint, with jaw dropping homes. No shops on their small boardwalk, but hell - saves me money . You need beach tags but we had a hook up's on loan. Clean bathrooms close by to the beach - bonus! A decent amount of restaurants. We enjoyed the quiet at the shore for a change.

Rest rooms were available and we're well maintained. Halfway out, there was a booth manned by a very friendly and informative lady. I thought there might be a charge to enter the furthest section but she explained they charge a fee for Fishing and allowed me in to explore and take some photos. She also explained the types of fish caught in the area and they also would see porpoise and some whales. Great night at Ventnor City Fishing Pier. Also, a block away was St. John's by The Sea - very nice, well kept church

There's a small parking lot which I was able to find a spot but is also about half a dozen spots. The light house is on a big property and there's some stuff to see before you go to the main building. A small building with some information inside. The building has a small store and activity area and restrooms as well. We were greet right away and you only pay if you want to go up to the top of the lighthouse. I ended up doing that and it was a hike. There are stations along the way or rest stops if you need them. There's a window at every stop and each stop faces a different direction. There's also pamphlets at each window with information and history. Once you reach the top it's a nice view and there are bars so you can walk around the top of the lighthouse. There was also a gentleman up there that gave you a "made it to the top" card and he was very knowledgeable if you had any questions. Awesome place to visit.

They waived us all through after the show so there was no fee.

The Music Box is located alongside the casino near the Borgata buffet. The location makes it very easy to enter comfortably right before showtime. The Music Box is not Borgata's main showroom, but instead a medium size venue with about 1000 seats. There are floor seats and elevated seating to suit most people's needs. You'll get a great view and sound from just about anywhere. If you're seeing a rock band, the first few floor seat rows to the side of stage may be too close to the speakers. They do have a bar within the theater with basic drinks. The venue is well-staffed with experienced help to ensure a smooth show.

At the gateway to this neat fishing village hidden in a corner of the city is this cool statue. There were lots of people hanging out near it and taking pictures. Turns out it was commemorated by our president while he still owned casinos in Atlantic City. There are beautiful water views nearby. You can also see commercial fishing boats and the Coast Guard from here. Neptune is fitting because he is the mythological Greek god of the sea. The statue is tastefully done. I've never really exploited the rest of the city so this review is mostly from the boardwalks perspective. Not a lot has changed since I remember and that's a good thing. Plenty to do right off the boardwalk and there are plenty of hotels as well. It's a long walk from end to end of the boardwalk but it's a nice to do on a nice day. There's a trolley too(you have to pay) that can take you up and down the boardwalk as well. Great place to visit anytime of the year.

We started looking for places online and we found ATLANTIC CITY "the little vegas" We were soo excited and looking forward to have a blast. -- The place is a ghost town, nothing looks like what u see in pictures or videos online, Atlactic city is soo far away from being little Vegas. -- There is nothing but old buildings and lot of them are closed, the streets are destroyed with potholes everywhere, I didn't even take one single picture for the memories because it was not a single thing that got out attention. Wele a la decided to drive an extra hour to Philadelphia looking for something to do and we ended up having a good time. How disappointed :(. Don't get fooled with what u see online. Worst time of my life.
