Andale is a local restaurant located in Zona Romantica and was sight of dinner for us based on a recommendation from someone in our party. We love the guy, but we now ask more questions when he recommends somewhere... We had a reservation at 7pm, showed up around 6:30pm and we were able to be sat fairly quickly. We grabbed one of the tables on the second floor outdoor patio, which overlooked the streets. Great scenery and people watching from above. We appreciate the large fans they had blasting towards the space as well. We started with a round of drinks, margaritas of all varieties and a few beers. We also scooped up a few appetizers for the table including coconut shrimp and guacamole. The shrimp were well fried and mild in coconut flavor, but tasty. The guacamole came to the table with no chips, and given our location, our server did not come around too often, so by the time we got out chips, the mains were on the way to the table. Speaking of mains we got a variety of items from fish tacos, quesadillas to fajitas. Two of our dishes were delivered prepared incorrectly, still containing a sauce we requested not to have. Not the end of the world and we will chalk it up to language barriers. The food was okay, well priced, but mediocre at best. Service was rough. He was friendly when at our table, but very erratic, which is probably why he missed a few things during our orders. Additionally, he was scarce. We had to go downstairs twice for refills and accessories needed once our food made it to our table. Overall, we really wanted to love this place, but a solid 2.5 is all I can give at this time.

Recommended by a friend. The ambience is fantastic- who can resist a smoochy donkey The service was good, the food was very good. Definitely will make this a part of our regular repertoire when here!!

This is based on drinks and service.... Looking for a sports bar that was showing soccer was a little tricky in the area. But managed to find one. Also, killing time till we had to get to the airport. I've seen it numerous of time walking by to and from the beach but didn't take notice. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty massive bar, which there was 2 downstairs. Service was nice and everyone was quite friendly. A big selection on drink. Full bar so whatever you like, I'm sure it can be prepared. Didn't have any food but the margaritas, wow. Massive for what it's worth. Tried the blended, spicy margaritas with tajin rim. It was a good kick the first sip. They know what they're doing. Chips and salsa was also brought out to munch on. I did do a quick browse of the menu, lunch wise did seemed pretty good. Your usual dishes, but did noticed a lot of people having the burgers. It's a nice sports bar/restaurant. Great margarita, price was great for what you get. Friendly staff and excellent service.

I had an amazing time here. Prices are far more affordable than most places, the happy hour is incredible. If you're looking for a cool air conditioned bar, with good energy and reasonable prices, come here. Mayela and Aracely made my visit even better, would recommend it.

This place is always great. Drinks, food, staff, all so wonderful. Very good value on everything. Food is not only delicious but beautiful presentation too! Flora our usual waitress is so sweet and fun. The owner is probably the happiest person in PV. Always sitting out front welcoming the whole world to Puerto Vallarta. Definitely check out Andale for a drink, a meal, or even a stay! They showed us they have places for rent above the restaurant. Beautiful rooms for a great deal too.

Good location. Good service. Food and drinks were ok, just not one of our favorites. I enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Such a fun place to hang out and have a drink while listening to good tunes! We didn't order food, but it sure did look delish! The service is prompt, but beware if you don't like a drink or you send it back. They'll still try to charge you for it. It can get a bit crowded so if you're coming inwith a larger group, be sure to get there before the rush to find seating downstairs.

Main floor was noisy they moved us upstairs and had amazing service overlooking the street.

Super touristy - of course and now, very expensive. We stopped by to see friends and were shocked to pay the equivalent of U.S. prices for our drinks. Go anywhere else.

Chile en Nogada - Poblano pepper stuffed with ground meat. dried fruits, cream cheese sauce, sprinkled with pomegranate and nuts.

Ándale has been a casual default for many years. It's not a five star Michelin restaurant, but there's rarely a wait and the food is consistently good. Today I finally had the bright idea to ask the server about the CHILE EN NOGADA - A poblano pepper stuffed with ground meat. dried fruits, with a cream cheese sauce and sprinkled with pomegranate and nuts, served with guacamole and beans. Absolutely blown away. Three times better than anything else I've ever had here which has always been decent. I can't imagine ordering anything else in the future. Four stars instead of five stars because the service was not as attentive as it could be, 15 minutes every time you wanted to flag somebody down for more coffee. But damn that Chile en Nogada was delicious....

First and foremost, this is officially my favorite place to come and visit when I'm in Puerto Vallarta. If you're a fan of dive bar fun, this is an actual dream. Sandra, Tristan, Joel, Banny and Antonio were beyond hospital. The effort they put in to make sure we had the best night went beyond any bar/ restaurant/ and club here in P.V. I'm currently here and I cannot wait to come back! Thank you Andale.

You eat what you order and leave behind your self respect. The dining room is packed tighter than a turtle's pecker. A dozen staff members move around each other like bees tending the hive, the rhythm wild and relentless. The tacos themselves are intimidatingly large, the vibe unlike anything I have ever seen. It's thicker, more cheesy than what I've ever had before and very delicious. We paired that with the prime rib tacos, it was a plate stacked with meat and 4 tortillas under it, more than we could eat. The seasoning was great, it was diced so small that it was easy to eat. Vegans are easy please. Give them clear marked options, even if there is one option, we are pleased. This place had a few clearly marked options plus the staff was fully aware and can provide suggestions. The only downside it is a cash only place. Guacamole and chips - fantastic. The guacamole freshly prepared and chips fresh fried. Amazing. The 3 types of vegan tacos we got were vegan chorizo, mushrooms and cactus (trying for the fist time). The vegan chorizo was the best, slightly spicy but not overly. The poblano peppers were predictable but very good. The onions with it were a good addition. Nicely seasoned and prepared. The cactus was good, we found that it was less seasoned. Just stir fried cactus. The star of all the three types tacos was the fresh blue corn tacos. We could have those everyday. The other superb tasting was the salsas and fresh toppings. 4 types of salsas, white onions and cilantro. The salsa were of varying different levels of heat and even the mildest salsa was the best. The virgin margarita and virgin mojito were great. Margarita being slightly better even though we love mint. Good atmosphere, clean surrounding and great service and vegan food - what more can one ask?

The entire front portion of the restaurant sits directly in the sand, so that's where we chose to have breakfast--under the iconic palapa roof, feet in the sand, overlooking the ocean. From our table you can watch the fishing boats and excursion boats heading out for the day, which gives the whole experience a relaxed, resort-like rhythm without feeling touristy or rushed. Service was excellent from the start--attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They brought out a selection of pastries you can add if you want, like banana bread and cinnamon rolls, which felt like a thoughtful touch rather than an upsell. The coffee was very good, with plenty of options ranging from cappuccinos and café lattes to classic American coffee, all well prepared. For food, I ordered the scrambled eggs with Mexican chorizo, refried beans, and hash browns. It came with a basket of warm corn tortillas and several house salsas, letting you customize each bite. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. We also ordered the shrimp eggs Benedict with spinach, which was beautifully done--rich, balanced, and fresh, with the shrimp cooked just right. One thing that really stands out is the ambiance. Being right on the beach, hearing the waves, feeling the breeze, and being encouraged (without being told) to slow down and take your time makes the meal feel like part of the vacation itself, not just fuel for the day. They also offer freshly squeezed juices, which pair perfectly with breakfast by the ocean. The menu is extensive, almost overwhelming in a good way--there are so many appealing options that it's genuinely hard to decide. That said, what we ordered was absolutely delicious and satisfying, and it left us wanting to come back and try more. Overall, La Palapa delivers on every level: location, atmosphere, food, and service. It's the kind of place where breakfast turns into a memory, not just a meal.
