From Lauren's review
Feb 5, 2023
I first want to write that I have never written a bad review before and I hoped that we could come to a resolution before needing to share our experience publicly; however RnB refused to take responsibility for damage that they admittedly caused during our move. We hired RnB Movers to pack and move our family and when they delivered our furniture, there was a large rip in the back of our leather couch (see photo). They acknowledged that they were responsible for the damage and that they would fix it, so we paid them in whole with the expectation that they would repair the damage. They lined up one person for the repair who called prior to scheduling the fix to ensure that we understood the way that he would need to repair the couch would leave a very obvious patch. He shared that RnB had knowingly approved this, but once he learned that they weren't the owners, he wanted approval from us before proceeding (which we appreciated). We spoke with RnB Movers and shared that we wanted to find someone that could repair the couch to as close to its original condition as possible. RnB provided us the name of another recommended upholster who required that we bring the couch to his warehouse to provide a firm quote. This took us several weeks to coordinate since we are both working parents with busy schedules and RnB refused to help. Once delivered, they could not initially find matching material, so we alerted RnB that we would need to find another solution. At this time, RnB filed an insurance claim which was rejected due to not having the appropriate coverage. During this process, AutoTrim (their recommended vendor) located some material that matched more closely. RnB refused to pay them/us because there had been a gap in communication while we were coordinating delivery of the couch. At this point we had AutoTrim move forward with the repair, which they kindly agreed to do for a discounted rate due to the fact that RnB would not take accountability. We paid for the repair out of our pocket and they still refuse to reimburse us. Throughout this process, they were unwilling to get on phone calls with us (which in my opinion goes a long way) and then began stating that their attorney advised them to not help us transport the couch for quotes, nor pay us anything for the repair. It's disappointing to see a company not take accountability for their actions and leave their customers paying out of pocket for damage that they created. read more
