I spoke with someone on the phone Friday. I asked if they're open on Mondays, and he told me "we are open for appointments only." So I asked "do you have any availability this coming Monday?" To which he responded "come in around 2 and ask for ______" I of course said thank you, and ended the conversation. He never asked for my name or number, but did ask what I wanted to get tattooed so at the time I thought nothing of it.
I drove 35 miles and showed up Monday at 1, to a locked a door. No big deal, dude DID say 2 pm. So my sister and I went for lunch, and came back around 1:45pm. We sat until about 2:15pm, the door stayed locked and no one answered the phone. I messaged the shops Facebook page to inquire about getting in touch with someone, the person who answered asked for my number to give to the artist to get in touch with me, and then 'laugh reacted' my message stating that I'd been waiting outside for half an hour.
The artist messaged me and I was greeted with a very nonchalant and unprofessional attitude, questioning who I'd spoken to over the phone in a very accusatory manner. I do not recommend this business, and have posted my conversation with the artist below.
I 100% understand that things happen and sometimes appointments get overlooked- I was NOT upset about that. I was upset by the attitude at which I was greeted with both by the artist, and by the person running their Facebook page that thought my waiting outside for almost an hour was 'funny.' Not that I'd have wanted one, but at this point most decent artists would offer a reschedule- I didn't even receive that much of a courtesy for my wasted time.
