Woah! As we pulled up, they have pictures of some of their menu items on the windows outside and the beef belly fries caught my attention right away.
I've never eaten pho before and so when we went in, I asked for help ordering. I told our server what we liked and he made suggestions.
We started with the beef belly fries. I ordered peach strawberry tea, chicken pho with sprouts, lime, and basil. Hubby ordered garlic noodles with shaken beef and fresh jalapeños grilled in with the beef.
Fries were so tasty with the crispy texture and salt. The meat was sliced ultra thin but had quite a lot of fat on it which was a little off-putting. We both thought if they quickly seared the meat, it would give the flavor that it adds but not be weird on the palate. The cheese sauce was the icing on the top!
The tea was fresh and perfectly quenched my thirst. I'm glad it came in a boba cup so I could take it with me. The pho broth was not as tasty as I thought it would be. I was expecting that salty broth like with ramen but it was milder. The chicken was sliced thin and very tender. I added a smidgeon of hoisin sauce to each spoonful. Next time, I would not order the sprouts or basil. The squirt of lime gave it enough freshness for me.
Hubby said the noodles were very garlicky but quite good. The beef was tender and was the best accompaniment for the garlicky noodles. The only suggestion he had was to double the meat because $10 additional was too much for 4 ounces of beef.
One wall had a screen with k-pop videos playing and you could hear the music throughout the restaurant. Our server was a nice young man who did a good job checking on us.
Coolest part of the night was having our food delivered by a robot Will definitely return and try other menu items. read more
