Ozzo Sweets & Eats in Westerly is pure sunshine in café form - the kind of spot that instantly boosts your mood the second you walk in! From the moment you step inside, it is a full-on kaleidoscope of color & decor. Everywhere you look, there is something bold, quirky & fun!
And the food? Just as creative as the space. We went as part of RI Food Fights #BestBreakfastSandwich & Ozzo absolutely delivered. I selected the Breakfast of Champions - scrambled eggs, seasoned pulled pork, onions & queso fresco on an English muffin. Hubby went with the Pepper Jack Ham - scrambled eggs, diced ham, onion & pepper jack cheese on an English muffin. Both were hearty & delicious!
You can't go to Ozzo & not order the churros. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside & the spicy cinnamon sugar was yummi.
The drinks deserve a spotlight of their own. They have Mexican Coke & a bunch of different flavors of Jarritos flavors which they use to make dirty sodas. I tried "The Over Thinker" - a Dr. Pepper creation taken to a whole new level with strawberry drizzle inside the cup, vanilla bean cold foam on top &, because Ozzo is proudly extra, finished with sprinkles, edible gold & freeze-dried strawberries. It is truly over-the-top & honestly as pretty as it was delicious.
