The Nags Head is a traditional community pub on the northern end of Belper centre, from outside it reminded us much of a Marston's pub. The interior is pleasant and comfortable, staff are welcoming, and there's even a pool table. The real ale selection we found to be too limited though, with 1-2 guest ales a month - next to the entrance there was even a poster with the guest ale schedule for 2020. That I haven't seen before. A good pub for the local punters, for us - on a pub crawl of Belper, with its alarmingly high number of good and even great establishments - it offered too little to linger. read more
