Long story short, I bought a car from them that started having problems and randomly shutting off three days after purchase (Roughly 300 miles). I know buying a used car is as is, but from what is supposed to be a reputable dealer I expect it to last longer than three days. I contacted the dealer the next day and they recommended taking it to mechanic to check it out and see what we're dealing with. I wanted to trade the car for another. They were not receptive to that idea. I'm sure it would be a difficult process to work out and maybe I was dreaming too big. Slowly over the course of the next few days I became increasingly frustrated with them. I took the car to a mechanic that I trust and was informed there were problems with the engine and it would require a lot of labor and I was looking at a rather large bill. At this point I contacted the dealer and informed them of the situation and was told he would do research and call me back. The next morning, the dealer called and told me that his research showed that it may just need an oil change or a sensor. I was told the car was checked when they brought it in and none of these problems existed at the time. My response to this was not my finest moment. I noted that I had noticed that the car was missing several lug nuts, the oil was low and needed changing, the air filter was clogged, the wiper blades were wore out, and a blinker bulb was blown. This car was never checked over. In my anger, I made a few comments on a few of their Facebook posts. Although I was angry, I commented facts. Merely expressed my opinion and shared my experience for others to see Later that day I had another conversation with the sales manager and we both cooled down and he offered to have the car looked at by another mechanic. I reluctantly agreed and made verbal arrangements to bring the car in the next day. The icing on the cake occurred later that afternoon when a friend informed me that the dealership had responded to my comment. They said that their best response would be two bible verses. I'm not a bible scholar, so I looked the verses up. Proverbs 12:16 Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. I am a fool for being annoyed? They are prudent for not paying attention to what they are selling? My experience was bad. That happens. Being publicly mocked by a business that has wronged you and created financial hardships shouldn't happen. They deleted the comments after a short while and the post where they took my picture and were proud to provide my family with quality car. They have the luxury to delete everything and forget I ever existed. Unfortunately, I have 60 monthly payments staring me in the face to remind me of it for years to come read more
