The restaurant at the ferry terminal is closed on Mondays, but fortunately Lewes Coffee wasn't.
They sell a few breakfast sandwiches, grab and go stuff like bagels, snacks and lots of coffee options.
We paid $18 for two coffees, a bagel with cream cheese, and an egg, cheese, and Taylor Ham/Pork Roll breakfast sandwich on a toasted roll.
The young guy who was running the whole show by himself did a nice job with everything. He cooked my breakfast sandwich and asked my wife if she wanted her cold bagel toasted. That was a very nice touch.
My breakfast sandwich was pretty damned good with a nice layer of good old New Jersey Pork Roll in there.
Lewes Coffee was an excellent substitute to grab some morning nourishment. read more
