A very nice meal with great service. We came here on an anniversary meal with our teen kids. They accepted a reservation right away and seated us outside under the city archway which was very nice on a July evening. Our waiter was very nice and professional. He accommodated our English very well and translated the Swiss German menu for us. It was easy as we selected the 4 course selection and our youngest was able to select a ravioli as her dish which wasn't on the menu. Our waiter guided us through a nice wine selection while paying attention to price and our taste. Dinner was a shrimp salad, veal ravioli, Scottish steak followed but dessert or cheese selection. Everything tasted amazing. I can't say it was the top ever but truly nice, creative and fresh, local and carefully prepared. The restaurant is in a quiet part of the street parallel to the main shopping area of Bern so a nice escape from the busy crowds. read more
