I've been in Halifax for a bit. I came from Seattle (you know the birthplace of Starbucks). I've ventured away from my safety net of the white cup with the green mermaid and found the love for locally roasted coffee that is Java Blend. This particular location (Seaport Market) is one of my stopping places when I hit the market on the weekend (which I do pretty often) and while my favorite JB is the North Street location, I do love this little second floor corner spot. Lines tend to be a little long but if you've ever had JB coffee then you know it's worth it. Especially if there is a music vendor playing nearby (nothing like a little bluegrass to keep your feet stomping in line). If you're lucky to snag one of the tables upstairs it makes for some great people watching and on a warm day hang out outside take in the view of the water. read more
