The store has a lot of essential you need for farm/ranch life. Great selections. However, I called and asked a few separate times how much their 3 string alfalfa bales weigh in at, and I am always told 100lbs. I would accept getting home with a bale that weighs 80lbs due to maybe some of the moisture drying out and the bale not weighing as much as when it was baled. All the bales I purchased came in at 60lbs. I double checked my scale and it weighed the 50lb bagged feed correctly at 51lbs. I feed by weight so I lost almost half of my feed by expecting to get 100lb bales. I did mention to the owner about what happened and he kind of brushed it off and blamed it on the bales being bales with moisture and now they are dry. I asked if they required a weight from their broker and they said no. I don't mind purchasing a 62lb bale, but I would like to know that the bale is 60lbs and not 100 like I am being told. read more
