A delicious but pricey doughnut shop. Atmosphere: 4/5 - Modern & sleek but not a lot of seating available. Price: $$$/5 - Average for premium doughnuts but still expensive (ie// higher than you'll pay at Tims). Customer Service: 4/5 - Server was polite. Service was very quick. Location: 3/5 - Close to Victoria Park, the river & transit. Kind of out of the way for most people though. Taste: 5/5 - Amazing, best doughnuts in Saskatoon. Great texture. Large size. Menu: 4/5 - Menu is a little smaller than I would prefer but they have excellent & unique flavours that are constantly changing each month. Vegan friendly. Sustainability: 2/5 - Darkside appears to care about the community but doesn't have any sustainable initiatives other than using local flour. Strengths - Delicious Weaknesses - Lacking in sustainable initiatives, expensive. Good items to buy: Coffee + Doughnut (I got saskatoon berry available in August 2019). Summary: 3.7/5 - Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by Darkside Donuts if you are looking for a treat. They have some of the best doughnuts in Saskatoon. Their menu is small but changes each month encouraging you to return again and again. One thing I wish is that Darkside would make some sustainable initiatives as well as tout the fact that they are using local flour more as that is something I know many people care about.
