Considering how this place is literally right next to where I work, I've eaten here a few times…read more The first time around, I had their pho, which was just okay- the noodles were soft, the broth flavourful, with a mildly acidic taste, which is what I'd expect of pho. The portions are reasonably sized, though portions of beef were a tad conservative- there wasn't a lot of it and the beef itself wasn't particularly good quality- it was quite tough. I also remember laughing when a coworker paid extra to have "spring roll" with her meal and they actually held true to what they wrote in the menu by actually giving her just one spring roll, sliced in the middle.
On my second visit, I ordered their Hainanese chicken rice. While it was really good, portions again were in the small side, there wasn't a lot of chicken, and there wasn't much rice either. I was a bit annoyed by the colour of the rice, as it was bright yellow (like a yellow curry). I was expecting the traditional chicken oil rice- what you normally serve with Hainanese chicken, but instead it seems that they gave me ginger rice (it's yellow because of the powder). That being said, the chicken was still really good- smooth, tender and flavourful, I'd still rate it positively overall.
Drinks here are okay. That being said I've only ever ordered their standard drinks- an iced milk tea and a hot lemon tea. Their speciality drinks look pretty good though.
