Today I officially stopped in. Come to find out the brand is young, having only been founded in 2005. Clothes are indeed made with natural fibers that are designed to be particularly resistant yet worn as every day wear. Mohairs, cotton, jersey, etc...thus I was not too off by picking this up in their window display. The shop is small and I felt like there was not very much product to see. Nobody said hello to me as I flipped through the clothes around the shop for a few minutes. Clothes are piced in the $1000-$3000 price range on average (not on sale and this is what I was seeing for fall/winter clothing) for stuff that I was not sure about on craftsmanship or quality. There were some unknowns in my head as I perused the racks. Maybe a line to watch as it grows in the world or maybe another Yelper can contribute more info about what I should love about this line or this store, but to me it gets a Yelp 3. The Yelper who wrote the review in August of 2014 before mine loves this brand, but based on her photos she was shopping during the summer sale time.

I wish the store was closer to home!…read more Manila Grace is a women's clothing store located away from the crazy hustle and bustle in Causeway Bay. The store feels so fresh as soon as you walk in. There are lots of blues, whites, creams and other calming colors throughout. Manila Grace is an Italian brand that houses casual, chic clothing. The styles are very relaxed and the fabrics are light and airy. I saw many pieces that I would consider wearing in the store that looked comfortable, but also had a bit of an edge to them. According to my husband, who thinks he pegged my style, this is a classy hippy clothing store. Manila Grace also has some very unique accessories which are available for purchase. They have gorgeous scarves and I was infatuated with their partially woven jewelry. I found a necklace that I liked that was half rose gold colored, and the other half is woven. and the salesperson kept showing it to me in different colors. When I finally selected the one I wanted to purchase, she showed me a different length of the necklace which made my decision making even more challenging. Manila Grace brings style to classic comfort. This is a very popular style in Hong Kong, so this store will probably be around for a while. Prices are mid-ranged and they use high quality fabrics so that clothing will last.

I'd say Monki is a bit like Urban Outfitters. The clothes are trendy and it caters to people who want to be fashionable without spending a heap of money. This particular location was literally the size of a shoe box, so the selection was lacking compared to larger shops, but I was able to pick up a shirt and a bag. Both of which costs under $200 HKD!

Monki is right next to H&M - and also, in my opinion, the worst H&M there is because it's permanently crowded and they never seem to turn up the air conditioning. So whenever I'm at Langham, I always give the H&M a miss and head straight for Monki. The clothes at Monki range from girly to things you can sort of create a goth look out of, making it a place where everyone can find something that they like. It's one of the few places I know with sizes XXS, so it's great for people who are a little on the smaller size. I've bought everything from nice dresses to basics here and I find that the quality of clothes here is not bad at all. The accessories section at Monki is worth checking out - they have some really cool jewelry like statement necklaces that go great when paired with solid tops. Their stuff doesn't look cheap either. Last year, they were doing a sale on their tote bags, and I was out shopping with a friend from Singapore and she bought 2 back. They were only around $50 each, if I'm not wrong, the designs were cute and the cloth seemed pretty solid and durable. The changing rooms at Monki are really cool - they're filled with mirrors on each side, so looking straight into any one is nothing short of a real life optical illusion! I do wish Monki would have more sales though - usually, they just have one section of stuff on sale and some accessories too. I've never been to Monki and seen that they're having a huge sale. To me, their clothes are kind of reminiscent of H&M and Cotton On, but are even cheaper! They've become more popular in HK recently and have opened up more branches - the biggest one is in Miramar Shopping Centre at TST. 6ixty8ight specializes in bras - their bras are really cute and colorful, and have really adorable prints too! Yes, I know it really doesn't matter, but I would choose a cute bra with pastel-colored daisies all over them than a plain, boring beige one any day! Some of their bras are the racer back type, meaning that if you wear a racer back tank top, you won't be able to see the straps. I thought it was a good idea initially and I actually bought one with this design, but found it kind of uncomfortable the first time I wore it out. Maybe I just wasn't used to this type, but I haven't worn it since! I love that their bras are available in so many designs and colors! Neon pink, baby blue, mint green... they have it all. They don't have a lot of neutral colors like nude and black, which can be a downside in that the colored bras might show through your tops if they're a little sheer. They're all very reasonably priced between the range of $38 to $128. The clothes here are quite nice too, and are very affordable. Most things don't go for more than $128, even jeans! I got a pair of acid washed jeggings at only $98 last year, and they're so comfortable! Actually, at the cashier, I was told that if I buy four pairs at $48! I can buy four pairs for a cheaper price than buying one?! That's insane - and that's $12 for a pair of jeggings! I couldn't buy four pairs all for myself but in hindsight, I regret not buying four and maybe giving two or three pairs to friends. However, I did buy two tops last year - the same but in pink and navy, because buying two was $128 whereas one was $98 - and I found that they kind of itch at the sleeves. Overall, this is a great place to buy bras - I haven't had the same gratifying feeling with all my clothing purchases though unfortunately!

If…read moreyou're into that kind of fun, creative stuff, it's worth checking out lesser-known Lost & Found, which is similar to Homeless but in my opinion sells more practical things rather than quirky items that you'd use once or twice and then set aside. Lost & Found isn't hard to locate (ha!). It's at phase two of Olympian City, and you'll definitely walk past it when you take the bridge to phase three. There's another store at The One in TST, but I've never been to that one. This means that if you live on the Island or in New Territories, coming to Lost & Found may be a little bit of a trip. If I had just moved in to a new place or am redecorating parts of my apartment, I would definitely make a stop at Lost & Found. I like to think that things here can be classes into two categories, in my opinion - the vintage-y stuff and the more modern, colorful items. I love anything with that rugged, brassy look, and Lost & Found has tons of that in its vintage section. I can totally imagine decking my living room out on their gorgeous photo frames and little cupboards! For the more... FUNctionalist ones out there (sorry, I couldn't resist!), Lost & Found is big on colorful, modern-looking kitchen supplies. There are lots of colorful, disco ball-like bowls and plates that can jazz up any dinner party. Kitchen essentials like soup spoons and spatulas come in all sorts of different colors here, so if you're not one to settle with all that boring kitchen ware, this is your place! Another thing really worth checking out here are the clocks. They have loads of vintage hanging clocks featuring adorable animals like polar bears and pugs. Others are attached to a little countryside cottage and those are really cute too. I wanted to get one for a friend for her birthday, but as per Chinese traditions, it's considered sending somebody bad luck if you gift them a clock for their birthday. But just like Homeless, Lost & Found does not come cheap. One of those clocks I mentioned will set you back at least $300, and the more intricate ones with the cottage house are about $480. Although there was a sign outside that said 'on sale - up to 50% off', I didn't see a lot of items that actually were on sale! Overall, this is more of a place to browse and window-shop than to do actual shopping for me. Maybe one day if I'm thinking of redecorating, and if that coincides with them doing a massive sale, then I'll definitely pick up an item or two here!

Come to Lost & Found, which is a unique lifestyle concept store where you may find all sort of things including furniture, gifts, home accessories, etc. It's flagship is in Tsim Sha Tsui but this one is not as crowded as the one there since it is at a corner on the second floor of Olympian City (which is currently undergoing reconstruction). They have over hundreds of different brands from all over the world like Koziol, Fred, Magis, Umbra. They also have local designs as well. I personally adore the clocks there with all of them having their own design. All are rather unique and innovative. At this modern age where most people tend to use their smart phone as their telling time device, clocks may one day become obsolete. However, once you have seen what they have here, you may buy more clocks than you actually need. Next time when you are looking for home accessories or gifts for your friends, this place will not disappoint you. Warning though: you may probably end up like a kid in a candy store with so many creative products on display here. So... worry about your purse.
