Visiting this place is a must if you are a tourist to Bursa, especially if you like culture and art.
A fascinating art center converted from a historical hamam. I paid a visit on March 25, 2015, when it featured an exhibition of Beşir Sarpça.
I was interested in 4 of his many paintings on exhibition (about 20), some of which were sold, and ended up buying one for myself. I met Mr. Sarpça and with the help of an English teacher working there whose name I forget, I successfully got one wrapped up.
Besides the exhibition, there is a room on the left where young women were making calligraphy with paint. It was fascinating for a tourist like myself to see, especially since there are no tour programs where calligraphy is demonstrated.
Another interesting fact is that this place isn't identified on Google Maps. However the building stands out when you walk past it on Haşim İşcan Caddesi and you are immediately tempted to go in.
It also has a beautiful tea/lunch room so it can be a pretty cool rest stop for your visit in Bursa. read more
