First glasses I made there a couple of years back were great for my vision though the frames were very low quality and cracked in several places within 3 months. But recently I tried to make a new pair, requested high index lenses, had a very basic exam done with no astigmatism measurements, just the letter chart vision test. I got thick horrible lenses back that distorted my vision horribly. Doctor Piwi just said my eyes needed to get used to them, they had no high index available (didnt tell me when I paid or give me a refund for the difference in cost). I followed advice, used them religiously for 3 days and they were still horrible so I took them back.
It took almost 2 weeks to get my glasses back, I had to make several trips to the shop because it was closed during business hours and it was even closed after I personally made an appointment with Doctor Piwi to meet and pick them up.
Finally I got my glasses back and they were slightly better but not right. He told me "they were great lenses with blueblocker" and that he had changed my cylinder measurement (without mentioning it, asking, explaining, or doing tests to see what the right one might be) to help my eyes improve. I should use them for a few days to get my eyes used to them.
I did and they still sucked. I wrote to him saying I was disappointed and mentioning all the points I state above... his reply was "I'm at your service if you choose to return."
I honestly believe I was given lenses that were not the right ones just to get rid of old inventory. Terrible service, completely unprofessional. read more
