Of course I couldn't get my jacket bc my claim ticket was in my wallet. However, I had a photocopy of my passport in my jacket and it was in clear sight, but the smug coat check boy refused to look at in and insisted i stay until close at 6am. Somebody else, possibly a manager, came to seemingly help but the coat check guy continued to be unhelpful and seemed to be taking pleasure in my frustration. Finally after I waited several hours, my jacket was returned to me, and I as a left a guy runs up to me and says "you forgot your wallet." Of course it had all the cash missing.
Both times I went to this club on my trip it was mostly empty. The first time I didn't mind because I was with a friend and the two of us enjoyed dancing without the club being packed. However, after the way this situation was handled, it would be challenging to go back. Pickpockets are everywhere but it certainly doesn't make me feel safe. Mostly though, no staff in the hospitality industry should take so much pleasure in being so unhelpful, particularly when a frustrating situation is clearly ruining a guests night.
