Perhaps that's why this place is a circle member of the elitarian Rotary Club. It's indeed a sophisticated place well suitable for people from higher social ranks but still cozy enough for ordinary people who just want a coffee and some pie. We have ordered a 4 course menu consisting of soup, salad, rumpsteak and dessert. Each course was just nice, nothing very spectacular, actually. So 29€ for each person is quite a prize, literally. The waiters were in overall friendly and helpful. Also, I loved the cozy fireplace inside while it was quite chilly outside.

This was absolutely no problem as we were greeted at the door by Peter. I was led into a charming dining room on the arms of three strong gentlemen, and Peter had us seated at the very front table to avoid more stumbling around. The decor, the lighting, the comfortable seating - this is one of the coziest restaurants ever. The service was beyond compare as was the fantastic food. There is an entire menu page devoted to different schnitzels! My husband and I each chose one and had to share because they were both so delicious. The salad must have been picked moments before presentation with a homemade vinaigrette, the spaetzel melted in your mouth and the Apfelwein, a mellow honey gold, was the best I've had in years. The Apfelstrudel dessert topped off a wonderful evening. Do yourself a favor ... eat here.
