My neighbor hired Lumberjack Tree Pros to remove a tree and asked if the crew could use my driveway…read morefor easier access. Wanting to be a good neighbor, I agreed. When the crew left, my driveway had sustained damage that was not there before they arrived. There is a burned section where the asphalt has been damaged down to the underlying stone, along with three large fluid stains that appear to be oil or another automotive fluid. I have security camera footage showing the condition of my driveway before the crew arrived and after they left. I immediately attempted to contact the company to report the damage and request that someone contact me regarding repairs. When I was unable to reach anyone, I documented the damage with the New Jersey State Police, who advised that the matter appears to be civil in nature and generated a property damage report. What concerns me most isn't just the damage itself--equipment can fail and accidents happen. It's how the situation has been handled. Property damage should be acknowledged promptly, and customers and neighboring property owners deserve communication and accountability. If you are considering using this company, I strongly recommend discussing in advance how they will protect driveways and other surfaces from heavy equipment and what their process is if damage occurs. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

And what they quote at first is what they invoice you for.

Do NOT recommend. I…read moremessaged several roofing businesses via yelp for an estimate. This company asked for my address in order to provide an estimate. I gave my address and never heard back, so I moved on to another company. Today, 10 days after they never responded after I gave my address, while in the middle of a meeting, I hear a bang outside and my dog freaks out. I go outside to find two men with a ladder against the front of my house and climbing to the roof! I had no idea they were coming and they were fully on their way to climbing up my house without my permission! The problem wasn't even on the roof, so I have no idea what they would have done once they got up there. When I messaged the company to say I didn't appreciate them coming unannounced and unscheduled, I was told it was my fault for not specifying that I expected a call before they showed up! Wild. Do NOT send this company your address--even for an estimate--or else they may randomly show up to your house and climb up on your roof unannounced and they will go up there whether you are home or not. Then if it bothers you they will blame YOU!

I have found Marcy the owner is to be straightforward and honest, and though she can be a bit brusque at times, as she is in the Philadelphia roofing business I can understand. Their pricing is reasonable for quality of work. No roofer is cheap and if you apparently find one, don't trust them. We have a complicated roofscape (skylights, large AC unit mounts and penetrations, and major crickets required to clear drainage obstructions) and some leaking problems that predate our ownership. Castelli, and particularly their foreman Jimmy, have been generous in attending to drainage problems that may or may not have been a result of their work. I appreciate their work and the efforts made to help us negotiate our finicky roof.
