If you want to be pushed to excel, get a killer workout, laugh your butt off with your fellow athletes and coaches, get that clean and jerk/snatch/deadlift/OHS PR, then turn around and do CF Striking where you get to burn off all that workday stress by punching and kicking heavy bags, then sign up! The coaching staff is awesome, patient, helpful and willing to help you on anything you want to work on (even if it's after closing time or on weekends). You can tell that they have fun coaching and that makes it easier on us who are learning all the CF movements/lifts. They also won't let you give up on yourself which has really helped me out. I've been going to SJCF for 8 months now and have put on approx 7-10lbs of muscle. I've also adopted a more positive image of myself as I break through mental and physical barriers every week. When I started CF, I don't think I could do 5 box jumps w/o getting winded (and I've always been a runner mind you!). Now I can do multiple rounds of them followed by a slew of burpees, then go run, flip a tire and do it all again. LADIES: You don't have to be ripped to work out here. GUYS: Same goes for you. SJCF scales all workouts to YOUR ability. Even some of our strongest atheletes have to scale workouts from time to time based on an old/new injuries and just 'being old.'
