Unfortunately, they were closed for summer vacation. I knew that there was a Greek restaurant close by so we headed here. The menu was quite extensive. The food items available were not only Greek, but they also had a variety of Italian dishes as well as traditional German fare. We ordered the Greek appetizer plate. The waitress warned us that it does take some time to prepare. A last, this was true. But what came out was truly delicious. There were broad beans, Kalamata olives, pickled onions, stuffed grape leaves, fried vegetables, as well as some other items I do not remember. For our main course we ordered a mixed platter of meats and the other two ordered individual plates with different meats. By the time everything came we were already full from a huge appetizer platter. All the meat had been freshly grilled and was delicious. We have to take most of the food home. We had a bottle of Greek red wine as well as bubble and still water. Since one bottle was brought quite enough for the four of us, I ordered a second one and was able to take most of it home with me. Our waitress, who turned out to be the owner, warmed up over the evening and turned out to be quite nice. All in all it was a great experience.
