Dr. Steinmetz is just a caring, understanding, well-mannered, humble, and gracious person. I have to say person, because he has to be such a person first to be a doctor with those qualities. Not to be ignored is his staff. His staff is just as courteous and understanding. I read reviews putting them down - but I beg to say, the person writing such a review, doesn't quite have an understanding of what to expect from an office staff in such a delicate yet fast-moving environment, attending to phones, patients, and any requests of the doctor... May Jehovah God bless Dr. Steinmetz and his staff, giving all of them good health and long life so they may take care of us who need them.

I booked an appointment through Zocdoc; thinking I'd only see her once because I just needed a quick physical. After my first encounter with her, I knew I needed to drop my PMD and make her mine. Dr. Sotnik is the epitome of a real primary physician; ensuring that you're thoroughly cared for system by system. I've never had a primary, who went through every lab in detailed they way she did. Dr. Sotnik needs one hundred stars for the work she does, she keeps it real and does not sugarcoat anything. I've never felt more cared for; more informed about my health until our encounter. Her office is clean, especially the bathroom. She does have medical assistant interns, who work with her but they are always very polite. Her office assistant, Gloria deserves a special nod as well. The wait time is usually less than thirty minutes from appointment time, if any wait at all. If you need an excellent primary, please put her at the top of your list. Best, Rhoda

I'm def not the easiest patient as I don't like to follow orders and be held accountable. With dr sotnik, you haven't a choice, she's on you. Especially as a diabetic patient that was in poor health. She helped me back on track and my A1C and weight has been down and I feel so much better now. Ms Gloria who is her office assistant dies it all and is very warm and accommodating at all times! Left work early and got to my appointment 15mins early because I was a new patient and figured they would need some info/run my insurance etc. At 6.30pm I ask the receptionist if it will be much longer she says "yes you have one person in front of you" at which point I pointed out I made an appt and would have appreciated a call if the Dr was running behind so this way I would not have had to leave work early. Needless to say she basically told me if I have an issue let the Dr know. Then 10mins later she tell me the Dr wants me to do a breathing test, to which I ask well the Dr has not seen me yet so how would she know?? Anyway, I go into the test room and recognize the woman who is performing this test as the one that had left 20mins ago and just returned from McDonald's!!! So while she was getting her coffee break I was waiting in the office like an idiot!! So now the visit is complete and the Dr electronically sends my scripts to my pharmacy, they only receive 3 out of the 4.They called all day and no one answered the phone or returned it. So its the weekend and I dont have my rescue inhaler!! For the amount of money spent on insurance this office felt like a Medicaid clinic!! And the last thing that irked me was not only was my co-insurance/copay $200 but I was charged a $5 surcharge because I wanted to use my credit card..who the hell walks around with that kind or cash or checks these days??

I really needed to find a doctor so I could get a check up and I found great reviews on this…read moredoctor. So I made an appointment for Sunday. I killed sometime in the area, then went over. The office is in a brownstone it looks like an the waiting area was nice. The Receptionist had me fill out some forms then I was on my way with Dr. Grishina. She was very nice and asked me the general medical questions & history. Then she gave me an overall checkup. She drew blood, which I hate doing but she was gentle and I didn't feel a thing. After that she told me when I get my results back she will give me a call. Which she did not too long ago. It's hard to find a doctor these days you can feel comfortable with and who aren't pushy or rude. I really like her and I feel good knowing I have a place to go to if I have an issue.
