I was passing this area while I was traveling through Michigan. We love soup and salad and so the name caught our attention and we stopped. I love how they let us sample the soups. I got the clam chowder and it was delicious. I was very disappointed in the Caesar salad. The dressing gave me bad vibes of bad bottled Caesar dressing. I just expected it to be home made or something and I really don't think it was. But overall, friendly staff and a clean restaurant. Love the concept as well. read more

Zoup! - Caesar and clam chowder - Soup Near Me - Holland, Michigan

Food is pretty decent (better than Panera) but too expensive for the portion sizes. I agree with other reviewers, the portions are at most half what you get at other places for more money. Food is good but not that good. Picture is a full salad with my hand for size comparison. read more

Zoup! - Soup Near Me - Holland, Michigan

Med bowl had rice instead of quinoa, escarole, old spinach for $11. bread was so hard and stale I could not chew it. we will not be back.

I wish there was one of these back in my suburbs. If you are a soup lover, then you will like being able to sample the soups like you do when you walk into an ice cream shop. This place kind of reminds me of the Soup Box that is downtown in Chicago. I ordered a Tom Kha Thai kind of soup and it came with a piece of bread. It wasn't bad and I throughly enjoyed my meal. They offer different kinds and while not every soup maybe to your liking (I sampled some that was too salty, bland or weird), at least they will change their soup menu enough so that you won't get bored. ;D Overall, Zoup makes a good stopping place for a hearty lunch. read more

Love to come here for lunch with my mother-in-law. I love getting the tomato pomodoro soup. Always good service. Restaurant is clean.

I was in Holland for a few days, and needed a quick, healthy lunch before preparing for my friend's wedding, and Zoup! seemed like the perfect option. It did not disappoint, and the employees were so helpful at explaining things, and letting us know what our options were. I got a "try two" meal, with a small lobster bisque and chicken Caesar salad. I did not upgrade my soup to a larger size, but my Dad did with his broccoli cheese soup. It was a good value, too, which is always appreciated. The bread served is warm and **soft**, unlike the bread served at Panera. I wish we had one of these near me- the quality, number of options, and overall experience is hard to beat! read more

Zoup! - Try two, chicken caesar and lobster bisque. - Soup Near Me - Holland, Michigan

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. And I have to say it was simply amazing ! The lobster bisque is a must try . They actually have chunks of real lobster meat , not imitation Lobster meat it is the real lobster meat . The New England clam chowder is to die for ! I recommend this restaurant for anyone who really enjoys a good cop or a big bowl of hot delicious mouth-watering soup! I definitely will be going back and I definitely recommend us to anyone . read more

Stopped in with friend after reading good reviews on Yelp while roaming Michigan. We perused the menu, and thought it sounded good enough to give a try. Since we were newbies, an employee offered to give us the low down. Zoup! has a large variety of soups in rotation and some are always served. Sample cups were also provided, which was great for a picky eater like me. I'm always hesitant to try something new if I'm not sure what's in it. Walking in, I thought I just wanted to stick to the Macaroni and cheese dish (because it's kind of hard to screw up mac and cheese), but after sampling I was torn. Lucky for me, Zoup has a money saving deal on those who want two soups. I ordered the macaroni and cheese and the Loaded Baked Potato. They came in side sizes, and served with your choice of bread. The whole meal cost me about $8. Not a bad deal! I was stuffed afterwards. The loaded potato was so good! The mac and cheese was okay in my opinion. I added some pepper to spice it up some, but it would have been better with some breadcrumbs sprinkled on top! The employees were helpful at this location and made the ordering process swift and easy. The dining room was clean, tidy, and set up well. Since I'm not from the area, I didn't sign up for the loyalty card, but I read more about it from the info card on the tables, and it sounded great. You get one punch with every meal purchase and a free meal after so many punches. PLUS, when you spend more than $20 in one transaction or come in after 3 pm, you get an extra punch! So, you could get 3 punches in one purchase, which is pretty sweet. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be stopping in. read more

My roommate and I were in Holland for a weekend of camping and had no idea where to eat. We found Zoup! on here and decided to give it a try. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made! This place reminds me of a Panera but more down to earth and wholesome. We mentioned to an employee that we had never been here before and he took the time to tell us a bit about their story and helped us with the process. They have hundreds of different soups but have a variety of 12 a day with a few that stay all year. They also have sample cups for the soup so you can try them before you order which was a great plus! The menu and ordering process is pretty simple; they have soup, salad, and sandwiches. They have a variety of salad and sandwich choices so there are tons of ways to mix & match. They also have combo deals where you can get two soups together or two separate choices and you save more money that way. I did the two soup deal and ordered their macaroni and cheese along with their most popular soup, chicken pot pie. The serving size was quite generous and came with a side of bread. They were both delicious and filling! The seating area is quite spacious and cozy. They also have a public restroom. Overall this was a great find! Very satisfied and will absolutely come back if we are ever in the area! read more

The negative review is based solely on the value. A lunch consisting of half of a sandwich, a cup of soup, and a drink shouldn't cost $15. The soups I've had here are excellent but they really aren't special enough to warrant the price. Either I wasn't paying attention to the bill when I ate here previously or the prices have increased. I just can't justify spending that much for lunch. read more

I wish there was a Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoe nearby but thought I'd try Zoup out. Since moving to Holland I've been here a good 6 times. I've never had take out, but the dine-in experience is so pleasant. Customer service is FANTASTIC and I dig the sample section before you make your order. The establishment is clean and the food quality is on point. I prefer the heated meals over the cold wraps, but I'd say try a number of different things from this place before you make a judgement call. But let it be known, Zoup IS GREATER THAN Panera. read more

Zoup! - "Are you putting this on Yelp?" "Yea why?" "HERE'S MY HAND." - Soup Near Me - Holland, Michigan

Food was good - thank goodness! Unfortunately both myself and my cousin were overcharged. Neither of us was offered a receipt because they were so busy in store and just had us insert our cards as they walked away. There are two high chairs and one booster seat in the restaurant. One high chair had no straps and the other had broken straps. These should really be replaced! read more

Yummy!! The bread bowl with tomato soup was oustanding! My husband and son had the bacon Mac and cheese which they both enjoyed.

I redownloaded this app so I can leave a review. I ordered the Mediterranean grain bowl. However, there were no grains to be had, and it was hardly a bowl of anything. The chicken was ice cold, the tomatoes were old and the lettuce was rotten. This place is awful. I can't imagine what goes on in this kitchen and I don't want to find out. Stay away. read more

Soup is pretty good, but I wish they had more variety. I see the same soups on there all the time. The bread bowls are my favorite, but whomever was working that day didn't fill the bowl all the way and I felt like I didn't get what I paid for. I brought my mother here and suggested the lobster bisque. She enjoyed it very much. I had the broccoli cheddar which is also very good. read more

They had the right idea letting people sample the soups before you order, cause there was just too many choices to choose from. Let me just say I like everything that I tasted that day. I ended up ordering a cup of Lobster Bisque and a Southwest Turkey sandwich. The portions was a decent amount, my stomach was content after the meal. Everything was delicious down to the last bite. It was great alternative to your everyday fast food. read more

We stopped here during our weekend trip to Michigan. A hot soup and warm sandwich sounded great during the cooler weather. While a little pricey, the food is great quality. We had the lobster bisque, which actually had nice chucks of lobster! read more

Incredibly rude. Overcharged me and refused to refund. They have inexperienced "managers" with extremely poor customer service. won't be going back. read more

The food here is very good but expensive. They steer you to the "take two" but they are priced separately. This was not communicated either on menu board or verbally. Spent $11.20 for half sandwich and small cup of soup. I've eaten at other places that have a similar pick two (McAlisters and Panera) where the price is for both. Don't think I would visit again because of this. read more

I'll start by saying that the food is delicious. That being said, it seems the trend is to offer the smallest food quantity possible for the highest possible dollar. I ordered the grilled cheese dunkers and tomato soup. I also got a soft drink. The bill came to $13 and I added one dollar for a tip. It was a tiny cup of soup and four very small cheese sandwich strips. It wasn't more than a half of a sandwich combined. Each strip was a little less than three bites. Once again I'll add that it tasted delicious. But for $13 plus tip, it should have been double the size. This is definitely the trend in most quality food restaurants. I could have easily made this same meal at home, or something very comparable, for a couple dollars. I don't shame anybody for making money, and I didn't have to go there to eat, I chose to. In the future I would choose to not spend $14 on what is no more than a small appetizer. Food quality/taste: 5 stars Quantity: 1 star read more

Always delicious and happy employees! My go-to place for lunch in the winter. A favorite of mine is the seafood bisque.

Nice clean place, good food and fast service. Loved the lobster bisque and Cajun chicken soup

First time there. Ordered online and all was ready when I arrived . Smooth process. The tomato bisque was superb, my wife has diet restrictions so the chicken fajita was her choice and I also had a chicken Toscana sandwich. Will be back to try more and likely raise the star level. read more

It's a subway for soups. It's good, but there are definitely better places with a nicer atmosphere.

The lobster bisque is to die for!!! Always super friendly and clean. Nice place to go for lunch.

I had a take out order today and they forget to include my half sandwich with my combo. When I got back to work I called to let me them know and they didn't hesitate to profusely apologize and have someone personally drive me a full version of the sandwich within ten minutes, excellent customer service! and the food was great too! Will definitely be giving them my business in the future! read more

Ran in tonight to get dinner, always have an amazing experience. Three young kids working tonight, two girls and a young guy. Young guy made my husbands buffalo chix sandwich and when pulling it out of the oven half the meat fell off the sandwhich and on the counter and in the oven. The guy tried to pick up the meat and put it back on the sandwhich until the girl said something to him to throw it away. My husband asked the guy when he handed us or order if he was going to remake the sandwhich since he dropped half the meat and the guy tried to tell us it's all on there. My husband said he watched him drop it and through half of it away. Rather than make a scene we chose to leave as the kid wasn't going to remake it. Came home to a sandwhich of half bread and other half meat and bread. Not impressed, would have taken him two minutes to put together another sandwhich and own up to his mistake. read more
