Account: 303300904069040690 I am filing this complaint…read moreagainst Volvo Car Financial Services regarding an unfair lease return tire charge on my vehicle VIN YV4L12DM3N1083053. At lease return, the inspection report claimed that the tires had only 3/32" tread depth, but the tires I installed were Michelin 265/40R21, premium quality, and had 4/32" tread depth when returned. I have a notarized invoice from the tire shop confirming tread depth at installation (vehicle mileage 38,009). At lease return, mileage was 38,147 - only 138 miles later. It is mechanically impossible to lose 1/32" of tread in such a short distance. This clearly indicates either an error in measurement or inspection. Additionally, the Excess Wear Notice from Volvo does not mention incorrect tire size. Only later, by phone on September 9, 2025, I was told that the charge was also due to tire size. The lease agreement does not specify any original tire size, and as a consumer, it is impossible to know the exact OEM size since it is not listed anywhere in the contract or delivery paperwork. The Michelin 265/40R21 tires I installed are functionally equivalent to the OEM 255/40R21 size. They meet or exceed the required load index and speed rating and are within industry standard tolerances (±3% in diameter, actual difference only ~1%). Volvo itself equips XC60 models with 265 mm width tires from factory (e.g., 265/35R22). I acted in good faith by returning the vehicle with safe, premium Michelin tires, not worn-out or low-quality replacements. Penalizing a customer who returned the vehicle in proper condition is unreasonable and unfair. Resolution requested: Removal of the tire charge in full. Written confirmation of a $0 balance. Assurance that no negative credit reporting will occur regarding this disputed charge. This complaint is filed with full supporting documentation, including: Lease agreement (tread depth requirement highlighted) Excess Wear Notice (showing only tread wear cited) Inspection report Notarized invoice from tire shop

This is the worst financial services group! They make up the rules and hold the consumer to…read moresomething that is not in the paperwork signed at the time of the lease. I was rear ended 2 months into my new car. When I asked Volvo financing to work with the insurance company who was willing to pay them for the diminished value of the vehicle, Volvo Financing flat out said No. Their answer is that they just don't do this type of thing. They even told me that if I was able to get the insurance company to pay Volvo Financing the money for the diminished value that they WOULD NOT apply that money to the car's value or my lease term. They said it would just sit there. How is this legal? How can companies be allowed to treat customers this way. I DO NOT recommend Volvo Financing to anyone.
