I have eaten here several times over the years for lunch and dinner and it has been consistently great. Had dinner here with my husband tonight, and once again, it was excellent. We both had the gyro wrap, one with salad and the other with fries. All the ingredients are fresh, with plentiful gyro meat, and the salad was very cold and fresh with huge slices of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. The pita bread was soft and delicious. The fries were very crispy and tasty. We like the tzatziki sauce, too. The owner does not skimp on the ingredients! Everything is fresh and plentiful...you really get your money's worth here. This place is clean, and they are very friendly. The woman with blonde hair greeted us with a sweet smile and she was so nice and welcoming, then thanked us as we were leaving. Not a happy camper. The meat was so dry. The price was too high. Nothing was worth it. Just really not good. Just not good.

I always get the ground beef skewers and chicken breast. I was disappointed at how tough the ground beef was. It was dry and overcooked. It didn't looked fresh, looked re-heated. Quality and large servings gets them an easy 5 stars. For example, I typically get the same thing. The chicken and beef combo. I will discuss these tasty meats in a moment. First, let me talk about the sides. Of course, it comes with either rice or salad, but the "trick" is to order half and half. They basically give you a free salad on top of a TON of rice. The rice is long grain perfection. The Greek salad is perfect. But the star of the side-show is the roasted tomato. I love that tomato. Again, when you get the combo, get it with half rice, half salad and make sure you get that tomato. I almost forgot the pita. It comes with pita too. Fresh and warm. The meats are delicious. The chicken kabob is tender and tasty. The beef is a tasty stick of compressed beef. It's fun. It's beefy. It's long. It's spicy. The one dinner combo is enough for two. I was very hungry when I walked in and the food was so delicious I gobbled it all down the minute it arrived (which was exactly the amount of time I'd expect for food cooked to order). I am a sucker for lamb kabobs (my bonus dad was Armenian). I had checked the menu on Yelp before venturing inside, and the aroma told me this would work out well. The portion was generous but not overwhelming. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. The salad dressing was just the right mix of tangy and savory. The long rice (is it basmati?) was the perfect neutral to the rest of the meal. I watched a steady stream of take-out orders leave the restaurant, but at no time did anyone wait very long. Granted, I was there on a Monday evening, so I don't know how the weekend rush affects their ability to keep up. I live in Prescott but go to concerts at the MIM frequently and am THRILLED to add this spot to my dinner choices in that area of town. Nicely done, ZK. I'll be back. read more

Having seen all the positive reviews I decided to give this place a try for takeout. I saw a few reviews mentioning groupon so I searched groupon for a deal, sure enough I was able to snag a deal. Score! We ordered a chicken plate and a chicken/filet combo. It was ready within minutes, service was good. Facilities were clean. Price was $8.99 for the chicken plate and $14.99 for the chicken/filet combo. Groupon was a godsend. I saved $9. On to the food... Maybe it was an off night and the B Team was cooking? Sorry guys... Chicken, salad and rice were good but my issue was with the "filet". More like an overcooked sirloin. Should've known when I placed my order over the phone, the gal never asked how I would like my filet to be cooked... So. The "filet" had a good flavor but was so tough and overcooked, it was not pleasurable at all. Their champagne salad dressing was wonderful though!I'll have to give this place another try next time. So glad I recently discovered this gem (also sad it took me so long!) I've gotten takeout 3 times in the last 2 weeks or so because it is THAT GOOD. My go to is the chicken entree with half salad, half rice. First off portions are huge! Secondly everything always taste so fresh. Chicken is always moist and fresh off the grill. I can't express in words enough how much I love this place. I discovered it during the height of the Pandemic, and have been ordering food from them since. My wife and I both enjoy how easy it is to order online and then get a text message saying the food is ready. Consistent quality food every time with good portions. I also like that I am supporting local businesses vs Mega Franchise. I frequent the Greenway/Tatum location, so if you are in the area, it is worth the trip for some take-out food. this is one filthy and unsanitary place with rude owner who denies his guests use of bathroom faking it that both bathroooms they're out of order. Place is full of unclean tables sitting there without any of staff willing to clean it. Food is whatever so to say the least. You can tell by tasting it that meat is not fresh, that is cheap and low grade processed. Staff again need some manners, smile and greet, this especially goes to a middle aged middle eastern gentleman. my advice, don't go here, take your business some place else. read more

Phoenix and metro area has become a place we're lots of Mediterranean and middle eastern food joints had opened up and unfortunately all taste the same, and menus items are identical. They seem to be going through the same vendor and playing it safe and not adding their own flare and flavors. I ordered the Greek salad with 3 falafel pieces and it was identical in flavor to a similar thing I have had at 2 other Phoenix restaurant. I'm even honking that the falafel is not freshly ground chickpeas and vegetables, instead they use the powdered stuff from a box. We enjoyed our visit to the ZK Grill. The service was great. There was only one young man serving both the take out and restaurant customers. He started by explaining the various dishes to us, as we had never been to a Persian restaurant. His great service continue throughout the meal. We started with the hummus, pita and cucumbers. Been going here a few times a year for three or four years. What I like is that they don't dry out the chicken kebabs. But food alone doesn't make a restaurant. They have been slipping in the help area and tonight was atrocious. Middle Ages man standing at the register didn't greet us. Had sullen look on his face and gave one word answers.
