This location for Zips Car Wash was so terrible!! I just went there for the 1st time and when I came out my car wasn't clean at all. The windshield was still filthy! I proceeded to go back and complain and show them how dirty my car was and they said there was nothing they cold do and refused to run it back through. New to the area first time using Zips car wash.My son was visiting so we decided to get our trucks washed.I have a F150 and he has a 2500 Chevy.After the $20.00 wash I noticed the antenna was broken off and my fender had a gouge in the paint.I made a claim with Zips and the claim came back as denied,stating that my owners manual says I was supposed to remove the antenna before going through the wash.I have owned this truck since 2018 never hand washed it, never removed the antenna before going to a car wash.I have four cars that I like keeping clean, but I wouldn't be using Zips car wash for my business.PS besides $20.00, a broken antenna, and a gouge in my paint,the wash was subpar like I would have to go through twice.My truck was not particularly dirty.Not recommended. read more

The attendant directed me to come straight forward only to recognize that the tires weren't aligned with the track causing the vehicle to severely jerk and throwing the TPM off. She was callous and indifferent about it, acting as if nothing was wrong, but I'm left with my vehicle in a worse situation because she didnt do her job. Was traveling in Myrtle Beach and decided we needed a car. Zip car wash was in the area so we stopped by. Prices were a bit high compared to other car washes we have used. However, when it got to actually washing the car, the attendant that direct you into the car wash only did that. Normally the attendant would take a brush and brush around your tires and your rims just to make sure things are clean. they didn't do anything. The car wash itself was basic nothing special. However, when I got time to use the vacuums, that's when it really became disappointing. Well, over half of the vacuums are not working, and those that are not working to a level that they should be working. As always the test of any business I go to is, will I go back? OK so this car wash is amazing it's cool there is only one person working entire car wash that I saw and he's hosing down and spraying your car if you picked one of the options in the automated teller. You pull up to it looks like an ATM machine and you pick what you want you could put cash or debit card in. So cool. They have vacuums outside that you can vacuum your own car. Good experience here. Lots of vacuums that have decent power. Paid $16 for a decent car wash. After the wash they have towels out for you to spot dry what the blowers didn't clear. They also have towels and spray for windows, inside, and your tires- all free! read more

Back in January, I took my truck to the North Myrtle Beach location to get it washed. At some point during the process, one of their machines took of the tailgate trim piece. The manager was not present at the time and I returned a couple days later and spoke to the individual in charge, explained my situation. Fortunately the attendant who was present the day this happened was there and backed my story. Shortly afterwards was contacted by Zips whereupon they opened a case. Furthermore, I sent pictures of the damage. Three months have elapsed and despite back and forth e-mails, the damage has been unresolved. I have experienced similar complaints with the vacuum systems and rags. When they opened years ago they were wonderful. Now considering what I am experiencing, cannot recommend their services and urge caution going there. read more

This guy approached me as I was paying for my car wash at the kiosk and strong armed me into buying a "membership." I told him REPEATEDLY that I had no interest in one and that I only needed a single wash. He stood there and literally argued with me, telling me that I could get that day's wash for half price and then I could then go onto the website and cancel at any time. That was a LIE. Every time you go to the website to request your membership be cancelled, you get a response telling you that you need to call customer service to do so and they REFUSE to answer or return your calls. I'm now going round and round with my bank trying to block this company from charging my account. These people are evil. read more

1/7/23: I chose the $18 car wash and was very disappointed. The car was only dried on one side and the black cloths used to wipe the car were so damp that it left a smeary streaky mess which makes me think they had been recycled without going thru the laundry. The vacuum nozzle was clogged with trash that I could not remove so i had to move my car to another spot. The parking lot was full of trash like cup lids, hair ties and other debris and very unkept looking. The parking lot needs to be blown every day; it was a total mess. The young lady that directed me into the car wash did not spray my wheels or the front grill. My back windshield wiper was flipped out after the wash; thankful that was not broken. I don't plan to go back...too bad because it used to be a great place. read more

ZIP IS A RIP!!! Various pieces of equipment do not work in their wash and they do not alert paying customers that they are not getting the service they are paying for. Zip does not care that they are ripping off their customers. They shut down their web site and you can not even get through to them on their phone number. In response to Zips acknowledgement of my post: Zip, how much longer will it take to fix the issues at the International Drive Mrytle Beach facility? At least two of your brushes have not worked for months. You no longer use the power washer on the driver side. You used to have a sign at the gates to let customers know that not all of the equipment is working. I was told management made the employees take the signs down because it was affecting business. That is very dishonest and bad business. I dropped my membership down to just a wash due to the fact that your wash is not fully operating and your tire shine was spraying the solution all over the side of our white SUV. ZIP management needs to get their shit together and stop ripping off your customers and fix your equipment or some of us senior members are going to get us some signs and do a protest and alert the press to your deceitful business practices and file a complaint with the BBB. read more

Zips Carwash review One star only because you can't choose zero stars. The carwash itself is fine for the most part, despite the occasional non-working equipment. Customer service lacking in several areas. Being a customer for nearly 2 years, I let many things slide when they changed over to Zips. We had issues at every location with the chip reader. They eventually changed the strip, but there were still issues with entry at all locations. We resolved ourselves to the fact that we would have to toot our horn for an attendant to come to the entry gate every time to allow us entry. On November 1st we had pulled into the Barefoot location and after doing the usual waiting and reversing to try to get the reader to work, I tooted the horn for the attendant. I tooted several times within about a five-minute period, when I concluded that I would have to get out and locate the attendant. Luckily there was no other vehicle behind me, so I backed out and pulled in front of the office. I was greeted inside by a very rude and angry man who said "You need to come into the office and not sit there beeping your horn". His rudeness shocked me and I told him he didn't need to act like an ass. His rudeness increased, and I said that maybe I should just cancel my membership. At that point he demanded I follow him to the office to close my account. I was then told if I was not welcome there EVER and if I returned, he would call the police. I asked WHY? His answer was that I cursed him out (because I said "you don't have to act like an ass"). Ok, maybe I shouldn't have said that stupid little comment, but I really believe he was overreacting. Fast forward, to my contacting the corporate office to lodge a complaint. I told the rep on the phone exactly what happened including MY comment to him. She was apologetic and sympathetic and said I would be contacted by management. I received an email the next day saying I would be contacted shortly. THREE weeks later I received a phone call from management. The resolution for them was an apology. He said he was sorry and the attendant and all staff would be informed this is not the way to treat a customer. That was then end of the call! I was more than surprised that I was not offered some kind of compensation for my humiliation and inconvenience after being a loyal customer for nearly two years. A free carwash, or free month, something that would convince me to come back as a customer. NOTHING. Suffice it to say, I am done with Zips Carwash. They need some lessons in Customer Service. read more

Does not clean the car for the $20 I paid. The rug machine was out of order. Half of the vacuums don't work and are just hanging. The other half don't even suck well enough. I pretty much had to hand wash the backside of my car, including my wheels. And the tire shine. I paid for was half ass even applied to two of the tires. Once Zips bought out and took over Dietrich's it all went downhill. Zips no longer hand sprays your vehicle. Many employees do not customize the wash to the type of vehicle you are driving (meaning they do not customize some of the settings on the giant iPad looking electronic). The Wash itself is less than desirable as far as cleaning your vehicle. It is just not the quality wash that it was when owned by Dietrich's . I have had the unlimited service since it opened as Dietrich's and there is no comparison in the quality wash. The employees there now are just going through the motions and doing as little as possible. Some even tell us how horrible it is (as if we don't know first hand). We have had several employees recommend us to go to the Zips further south... well this is the one convenient to us. Other issues... many times.... more than not... there is only 1 lane open.... and the wait is ridiculous... they have told us that location is the busiest... we'll make sure both lanes are functioning properly. For whatever reason it seems half of the vacuums do not work... why would they unhook them? Tonight I got there at 7:03pm and the hours listed on the website and on google say 8pm. Operations just have not been right or the same since some of the equipment fell on someone's car during a wash. They were closed for some time after that and supposedly remodeled ... but trust me this location in North Myrtle Beach is not worth your time or money. read more
