The website is clean and simple, and I was able to track the progress after a link sent to my email address. Signing up, entering the details and payment info was a breeze. The iOS app (albeit a little buggy on the details page, showing a white screen) notified me when the package arrived at its destination. Will probably consider not using Ziply as a reliable courier for a while. 3 start review is generous consider my last 2 deliveries. I love the idea of this service and it is extremely useful when you're in a pinch and aren't able to drive or pick up a package etc. however, my biggest complaint is that the estimated pick up times are wrong more often than not :\ the last 2 orders I've done have been picked up 30 mins - to an hour after the delivery was confirmed with a driver. The website/app should appropriately reflect real time pick ups and update accordingly so you can rely on it to accurately track packages. It's a bummer expecting a pick up time and texting a driver to see where they are when a package isn't picked up, and they say they are 30-45 mins behind. As an idea... maybe in the future when making changes, adding the option to choose delivery times when and if possible directly on the order. Notes about delivery and pick up times often are ignored. Or possibly having more available drivers? Being able to directly contact the driver's cell and get an update is great and not having to go through a chat via app. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but Vincent with Ziply was so helpful that I had to make an exception. I placed a request for a pickup in Culver to a dropoff in MDR at a specific time window. I was concerned as some reviews mentioned that employees didn't look at the notes and, unfortunately, Ziply's site still doesn't seem to have a place to adjust the time of pick up, so the notes is the only place to put it. That said, Vincent, the courier, read my notes, gave me a call to double check everything, and communicated with me about his status a couple more times before arriving which was very helpful. Then, *after* Vincent had already arrived, my boss abruptly decided that he didn't want to finish the package for pickup until an unspecified time. I asked Vincent if there was any way to do other runs and swing back to us and he was super accommodating. Once he delivered the package he called me and clarified who had signed for it since her handwriting was illegible. Apart from the clunky website form, this was an ideal scenario. I've used them several times now, with my own account and with other accounts I've set up for clients. Ziply isn't bad. They're probably best used by folks with time (or a team) to wait for pickup, not concerned about consistent experiences (expectations), or for those who don't have time restraints for their deliveries. If it ain't urgent, Ziply will do just fine. Here's why: They don't have live time adjustments for pickup/dropoff on their website. You're expected to text/call your courier to learn the status for pickup or drop off - but chances are you probably don't want to be that annoying - or you likely don't have the time to babysit your courier (otherwise you wouldn't be using one). After your package is picked up, you can track it on their website. Sometimes that feature works, other times you constantly refresh the page just to see it sitting in the same spot hour after hour. Sometimes my deliveries get there within an hour (with traffic), sometimes hours and hours later. There's no option to indicate time restraints or to pay extra for that. Also, their pricing isn't as transparent as I'd like. You get a rate by putting in the address info, however, prices change based on time of day and day of week (using the exact same pickup/dropoff locations) but they don't show their base rates. This kinda info is probably more important for those sticking to company budgets, but it's a nice to know. read more

This is my first time using a courier service, and I couldn't be happier! I am currently quarantined in the Bay (#covid_19) and had some packages delivered to my LA address while I've been away. I've used Ziply more than a handful of times (delivering documents / hard drives, etc.) and it's been exactly what I need every time. I worked in NYC for years and so I'm used to the culture of messenger/couriers and this is very much that - if you know you need to get something from A to B before end of the day, works just perfect. I've found their estimates to be pretty accurate, but generally I'm not too time sensitive. Their website isn't as slick as Postmates and services like that, but their pricing has been good and service excellent. read more

Amazing delivery service company. I own a flower shop at the flower district and I can't do deliveries any more, because we are getting a lot of orders. I received an email from this company, and I decided to give them a tryout today and I gave them three deliveries. I can't believe how soon they arrived to our flower shop. Jack, the driver was very friendly and very helpful. 15 minutes after he left, I received the first email with the delivery confirmation. 10 minutes later, I got the second email with the second confirmation. Jack delivered two arrangements in less than 30 minutes. The third arrangement was also picked up and delivered without any problem. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the other driver. I manage a 1-800Flowers retail store located in the Beverly Hills and when we get a last minute or late evening request we use Ziply for deliveries. I'm very happy on how fast they arrive to our store after we set up the job, the drivers are very careful with our product, and they exceed when it comes to arrival times. I do like that they update you by email. I have also referred them to customers that want cakes and other gifts delivered to our shop that will be eventually be delivered by us with flowers on later days. Overall my experience with them has been great as it helps keep my customers happy and I don't turn away any sales if my drivers are not available. read more

I recently used Ziply to deliver a BBQ from the valley to my parent's house in beverly Hills. They process was extremely smooth and flawless. The driver called to confirm the pickup of the BBQ, was polite in dealing with the BBQ vendor, and delivered on time. Pros: Easy account set up, nice user interface Unfortunately the cons make this service completely unreliable for us. Our pick-up was scheduled for 3pm, the driver picked up our package at 5:15pm. We were not notified of any issue until we called to ask status on our package. Not good. I would avoid this service if you need your package to arrive at a specific time. There is no way to imput pick-up time on the site. You have to enter it into the notes (red flag!) After I sent my request, I contacted the company to make sure they saw the pick-up time. I was assured everything was good to go. Apparently not... The driver didn't note the pick-up time. So we ended up staying a few hours after work on Friday to make sure our package arrived. Not a good first impression...at all. Props to the driver for eventually delivering our package 1hr 15 minutes after pick up in Friday traffic but unfortunately we need to find a better service. read more

In termsnof delivery, they get the job done but in the last months, it's been HOURS after the initial order. I order from a store and they say other customers complain too and they are thinking of no longer using Ziply because of this. No matter whether I order at 11am or 2pm, my items arrive late afternoon at the earliest... at least 4pm, often 5pm, sometimes 6pm. From a store that is literally right near my house. The store says Ziply is often non-responsive and doesn't answer their phones. Due to Covid, I am trying to do less errands and utilize services but it's pretty ridiculous to wait on anything that long from a courier repeatedly. I'm not sure what the issue is but it's unacceptable to do a pickup 5 hours after it's placed (the timeframe today - my items have still not been picked up according to the store and they're not on my doorstep). Each time I have to waste my time contacting the store to see where my items are and they usually have no idea since there's no communication from Ziply and they don't answer their phones. Please speed up your service with the companies that contract you. Don't ignore those customers for ones who contract you direct (if that's any different which according to other reviews it seems to be). PS - when people use couriers, there's often a reason - like urgency. I could have gone to this store a dozen times today while I continue to wait............ read more

This service really saved me. I had a ton of stuff that needed to be delivered about an hour away and they did the job perfectly. When I was confused on how to go about this, I contacted them and they responded promptly with clear instructions. My situation was a little different than usual, so I think most will be just fine with their usual instructions. I was surprised the driver showed up early and called to notify me of his arrival. His car was spotless, he was dressed sharply, and his demeanor was really gracious. He waited while it took me a bit of time to transfer all the stuff from my 6th floor office to his car, then he arranged everything really nicely in his car. Then he even was kind enough to drive 3 blocks over to my other office to finish collecting the stuff. I also appreciated his willingness to take a picture of the drop off that I needed for my social media- he was dropping off donations and that allowed all those who donated to see their donations were made in a timely way.
