We have rolling personal item luggages within those dimensions online. We go to the front desk to check in. The desk agent isn't sure if our personal items are allowed. She calls her supervisor over. Sure, she may not understand the baggage policy, but surely the supervisor does. When we were confronted by the supervisor, he stated, "Those bags are too big to be personal items. They may work for other airlines, but it does not work for ours." No, they are not. We measured them at home, we are aware of the website and what the dimensions are. Our personal items are within those dimensions. We asked the supervisor, measure our bags, so that you can confirm. He refused to measure them. Why did he refuse? Because he knew we were right. He even added, "Those bags have wheels. That's not a personal item." He never even considered that my sister and my mother have chronic back pain, so it is much easier for them to roll around a luggage than to put on a backpack. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
