Best part-- Booked with Tom and the process was quick and simple! The place is actually pretty spacious on the inside and the rooms were nice. Tom was great and every few minutes he asked if I was okay with the pressure. It felt so good I fell asleep briefly (maybe even snored) lol the prices were inexpensive. The least favorite part- I ordered a full body 60min massage and yet the majority of it was spent on my upper body and glutes. He barely massaged my legs and my feet. I specifically remember him doing a quick rotation of my ankles and gripping my feet but that was it. I don't mind a masseuse taking initiative to get all the knots out my neck and back, but if it is a full body massage it should include all parts. If there is no time due to my tense muscles, then inform me of that. Just had one of the most amazing massages with Tom. I read the review about being expected to top and was fully prepared not to be bullied into how much was appropriate to tip LOL! But within 5 minutes I was scheming on how to give this guy all the money in my wallet and still be able to run the rest of my errands... I did a 90 minute massage and wanted to leave around thirty minutes in. Towards the halfway point I asked if I could leave and just pay for the time I've spent but then the younger guy said he'd switch out for someone better but which I was pretty annoyed with them honestly giving me the "bad" guy to start with. I originally made an online reservation for Tom which I think was the guy who came in during the second half but then they stuck me with a younger guy who I doubt had any massage license let alone experience. I asked a few times during the first half of the massage if they could go stronger but just kept going at the same strength. I think maybe there are good masseuses here and I ended up with a not so great one so just be forewarned when coming here. read more

I paid $90 for an hour & 1/2 and gave $10 tips but they wanted me to tip $25 instead. In fact, they cheated me on time because the masseuse left the room few times to probably get towels and/or other items! I wasn't compensated for the lost time...not even a minute. When I asked to show me a sign that states a required tip percentage, they were unable to do so. I went to this place today for a 1 hour body massage. The girl was extremely rough, shook you while pushing down with what felt like all of her body weight. I thought a body massage was head to toe. She only rubbed the upper half of my body. From above my butt to my neck, arms and hands were short lived. My legs and feet never got touched. My lower back and shoulders are bruised from the hour massage and a mound of roughness and pressure that took place in only one area of my full body massage. Will not be returning. A secret gem!!! I've lived in Atascadero for over 3.5 years and today was my first visit. A friend and I did a soak at Sycamore Mineral Springs and were looking for a foot massage. We checked our trusty Yelp app and Zen Relax Spa looked like exactly what we were looking for. We called ahead and were able to make an appointment for two about 40 minutes later. Upon our arrival we were immediately greeted and decided to do the 30 minute body and 30 minute foot massage combo. Um....WOW!!! This service was above and beyond what I expected for the price. We were immediately whisked into a quiet, relaxing space and our experience began. These folks are massage practicioners who adjust the massage based on your body and problem areas. I was hurtin for certain when I came here this morning. Too much travel, crappy beds, surfing. My back and neck were so tight I could barely move. Tom gave me one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had. It was painful, but when you are in pain like this, it's what you need. Tom did not waste time on parts that didn't need it. Right to work on my trouble spots. I'm scheduling another session next week. This place is very nice. Clean. I love the fact that the bedding did not have a strong scent. Just had my first foot massage last night...OMG! This place is amazing. I signed up for the 60min. Foot Massage but it was SO much more! Head and neck massage to start and then the feet... I thought that was the end until I was asked to flip over on my stomach and was treated to a full back and neck massage. It was amazing. I would suggest wearing a tank top so you have better access to those hard to reach spots. The back massage was done with a towel on top so at no point are you uncovered but he still had plenty of pressure to get those shoulder knots out. If you go ask for Tom. I took my friends suggestion and she was right... he was amazing! So kind and considerate of the amount of pressure. The location is very quiet and clean... the staff was so friendly and gracious. I was in town overnight because my car broke down and had a splitting headache. I took an Uber over to Zen which was very clean and Tastefully decorated. When I was finished my phone battery was dead and she didn't have a cable to fit in Android so I couldn't contact my Uber driver... so the manager insisted she drive me back to my motel! ...And then to top it off a little while later the motel manager is knocking on my door and said that the manager from Zen had brought my coffee back over that I had left there!... I've been going to see Tom for over 2 years. He is a very skilled masseur. Uses very deep pressure to all the right spots (don't book Tom if you don't like it deep!). Reads my body perfectly and adjusts the massage accordingly. I recommend the 90-minute combo. You start out in the reclining table for a foot soak, scalp, face, and upper body massage followed by a thorough foot/calf massage. You then go to a private room for full-body-face-down massage. So good! I just got back from getting the foot massage and body massage combo, an hour total, and the price was only $55. If you are looking for something relaxing, calming, and gentle, do the foot massage! I think I drifted off to sleep at one point. While your feet are soaking you also get a face/head/scalp/ neck/top of shoulders massage. If you really have some knots that need to be worked out, get the body massage. My practitioner was powerful and applied a good deal of pressure, which was great. I feel she did a great job, and they even do hot stones as part of your massage. While she was great with draping the sheet, just know that the glutes are part of the massage, so if you don't want the sheet to go past your low back, you should mention that. The checkout process had a little bit of a language barrier, but what I understood is that you can't add a tip after you run your card, so they ask for the total you want to give and they enter that number. And then I saw a sign that they prefer cash for tips. I'm Sure it's easier to give their practitioners their tips at the end of their day that way.
