IF YOU WANT TO PAY $1,250 for horrible quality engagement photos and a defamation suit for writing an honest review, these photographers are for you!!!!
It saddens me to see all these beautiful experiences by other couples, and then there is my experience. Maybe they just have gotten lazy? I don't know, but it breaks my heart into a million pieces, and you can't even rely on someone you pay over a thousand dollars in advance.
The company we hired to take our engagement photos assured us that the images would be edited and ready in 1-2 weeks. However, two weeks passed with no word from them. After 2 1/2 weeks and multiple attempts to contact them, they finally said the photos were ready. Unfortunately, we were on a tight schedule as our wedding was just a month away from the engagement photo session. Due to the delay in receiving the photos, we couldn't send them off to get printed before the wedding.
Additionally, we had to change our venue due to harassment and threats from the original host. Although we texted the new address to the photographers, they never responded.
Looking back, we should have noticed the signs of unreliability from the unanswered emails. However, given the short notice for our wedding, we were in a tough spot and needed a photographer. We had already paid them half the fee, which seems we've been taken advantage of. Adding to the frustration, we paid in cash, which I suspect was a way for them to avoid taxes and potentially take advantage of us. It's a hard lesson learned. Now we're left without a photographer for our wedding. Dealing with these challenges in what should be a joyous time isn't enjoyable.
They removed our access to our engagement photos (which they deny). I had our new photographer attempt to log in the same day we hired her, and she could not locate the landing page; thus, we have proof they did remove it. We also sent her all the information about their "prices" and what they sent to us initially. There was no contract. We paid 1/2 the fee upfront; the rest will be paid after the wedding photos. They did not mention in any communication sent to us they CHARGE TO TALK ON THE PHONE (and by talk, I mean Justin just said how fantastic my ideas were and how stoked he was to do the photos - one call I was half asleep, that's how uninvolved I had to be in the conversation it I needed to pay someone to tell me how awesome my ideas are?). I wouldn't call that a consultation.
BECAUSE WE HAD TO SWITCH PHOTOGRAPHERS, WE HIRED THE MOST AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER, and I am glad we didn't have this company photograph our wedding! They didn't scam us out of money, and the quality of photos was 1,000 times better. The atmosphere was more positive. I wouldn't risk any money with these people. THEY BELIEVE THAT the money we paid them was "at least equal to the payment, and likely worth more" for the hour engagement photo session and the poor quality photos and editing. Then I shook to the bone as they made me stand beside a creek in wet, squishy, melted snow. I could hardly feel my feet after a while, and I finally had to go into the car because I was so miserable I thought I was going to puke. I am not sure what photoshoot they were at, but the one we were at was not worth $1,350.
We posted the reviews so other couples would not go through what we did. $1,350 is a lot of money. We were unhappy with their services, including their response times, photography style (nothing like what is advertised on their website), and editing, which is honestly horrific. Some look like they used an AI generator, turning some backgrounds into animated-looking trees. When we refused to take down the reviews repeatedly, and they accused us of using the reviews as blackmail (to get our money back, and at that point, I couldn't care any less about the money), we came home (after our wedding to a friendly little letter from their lawyer). They put our engagement photos back up (again, I had our photographer look because I was utterly over dealing with these heinous people). Especially when they are going to sue us for defamation. Defamation, I assume, is libel since it isn't spoken; it is written. DEFINITION OF LIBEL: LIBEL is the publication of false statements that damage someone's reputation. You'll also see it referred to as defamation. An opinion is not libel. Libel refers to specific facts that can be proved untrue." So either they or their lawyer are so far gone they can't see reality. that is an opinion. THE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED. THEY DIDN'T DO THE WORK FOR THE MONEY, PLUS THEY DIDN'T PHOTOGRAPH OUR WEDDING. BECAUSE WE WOULDN'T take down our honest review to warn others of these people who are taking advantage of others, they have Edward Shaw (a lawyer) send us letters threatening us to take it down. WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK WITH THESE KINDS OF PEOPLE? I wouldn't either. read more
