HomeCompany is charging us for two shower heads, claiming their cleaners couldn't clean off the…read more(tapwater) lime. We didn't even use one of the two shower heads, and the other one my partner decalcified every week except the last.
The apartment had lots of dirt and debris when we arrived, including renovation dust and paint chips, screws, a dead insect on the bed (on the sheet, under the covers), and a power drill. The shower never drained. We bought all cleaning supplies and I left it cleaner than we received it. This is the 2nd reisewohnung we've rented in three years of living in Germany. This one looks nice, but didn't include cups or any toilet paper or cleaning products -- inconvenient for travellers. The HomeCompany lady tried to convince us all reisewohnungen were like that.
At the end of our 3 months before returning to Duesseldorf, the HomeCompany lady handling final checks expressed shock herself at the weak power (we couldn't turn lights on in more than one room, because even having the fridge makes the lights flicker/shut off right away) and said, "This is the tiniest shower I've ever seen!" -- the shower and toilet barely fit one person each.
HomeCompany did not address the above problems when we emailed/called during our stay.
Homecompany also periodically removes their negative Google reviews (which is allowed in Germany) by the hundreds simply by threatening legal action, knowing most customers don't bother to send Google all their homecompany receipts & emails every few years just to keep their reviews up.
