I like this location as it has lots of stock, lots of clearance bakery items, great donuts, clean restrooms, and self checkouts. The only downside I've encountered here is that some of the older checkout women have a bit of an attitude and aren't that friendly. this is not a complaint about my Zehrs store on Geneva Street in St Catharines, Ontario with which I have always had excellent relations for many, many years but about the PC Express online grocery purchase system to which the supermarket has sold its soul reducing employees at the store to pathetically pleading "what can we do" for which the owners must take full responsibility the short version is that PC Express online suddenly and repeatedly rejected my credit card required to pay for online grocery purchase orders, used countless times before, for no explained reason the relevant credit card has a high individual purchase transaction limit always paid off immediately after use with no online or in-store purchase hassles anywhere else ok, sometimes shit happens; the issue is prompt correction of the problem immediate telephone contact with PC Express online not only failed to resolve the problem but has been put in an evidently lengthy queue with a formal case number to try and fix the internal system rejection problem some time within the next couple of weeks... read more

I have been trying for months to get something settled. I have been a faithful customer of Zehrs Fairview Mall. The problem is expired food.I did nothing at first thinking human error. Then it started happening more and more. At Xmas we ordered a huge meat platter. The cold meat smelled bad. It ruined our family dinner. Later it got worse I started calling and e-mailing I have spoke to approx 12 people I was told because I am temporarily not mobile to send pictures and receipt if I had them I did this I was brushed off. Then given 25.00 When I have lost a lot more I always have to get someone to take me but mostly ask them to go on my behalf it's all very disappointing read more

I'm posting this review in regards of my friend, who doesn't have yelp. Today March 22nd 2020 my boyfriend was treated like a common criminal....My boyfriend is Filipino and he went to zehrs to grab stuff for dinner. He ended up having a tickle in his throat and went to clear it by coughing because he didnt have a drink and this women runs away from him and her husband decides to go off on him saying its his kinds fault that we are in this mess and a few other very racist comments and when the women returned with some workers he ended up getting escorted to the front of the store before he even finished grabbing what we needed and they decided to have him write oit what else he was missing and made him wait at the front cash while an employee went a finished the shopping for him they then escorted him out of the store to his car, while all this was going on he was telling the workers honestly what happened, that he isnt sick he just had a tickle in his throat and he coughed to get rid of it. He gets tested everyday at work like everyone else but they wouldnt listen and the whole time the workers were talking to him the wife and husband were still going off telling them to ban him from ever being allowed to go there and a bunch of other crap this was extremely unprofessional of them especially since no manager was called or made aware of the situation and just because someone is of a different race doesnt mean you have a right to treat them like a common criminal like this there were many other ways to resolve this...... all I gotta say is a big F U to the zehrs at the fairview mall read more

I went to Zehrs today for the first time in a year. I picked up a ready made Greek salad and was so dissapointed. Most of the lettuce in the middle was brown and I had to pay for the packet of dressing. All the other high end stores include a free dressing with your salad. The line ups were very long and it was very slow moving. I had to stand in line for 15 minutes to use the self check out. All the other grocery stores in St Catharines run a lot smoother and are more organized through this pandemic. I don't recommend shopping here. read more

I really like this Zehrs. I live near so know most of the staff to speak to and find the staff and service the BEST. I am Gluten Free and although not in abundance at Zehrs , they do have enough to enjoy and get information for on line products too. Joe, one of the Managers even listened to me and ordered in Gluten Free Beer too! The PC Points come in handy also. read more

3.5 to 4 stars. There's a wine store in here (love) and there are some good deals. This Zehrs is attached to Fairview mall. It is MUCH better than the Zehrs at the Pen and they have a Joe Fresh section which has some cute items. I bought rainboots and a poncho from here that I absolutely love. There are some good deals on items here such as bread and croissants but some things can be overpriced. Still, the prices are a lot better than the Zehrs at the Pen and I would suggest taking the #9 bus from the terminal over here for groceries. There is also an LCBO, food basics, Chapters, and Walmart nearby. I cannot stress enough how much better the selection and prices are here than compared to the Zehrs in the Pen. read more

Nearly all of the employees I have personally experienced at the Zehr's located in the Fairview Mall (besides at the Pharmacy counter, whom are terrific) are arrogant, disinterested, apathetic, rude, sometimes even argumentative, and quite obviously miserable. Also, the employees working at the Zehr's located in the Pen Centre Mall are even worse (especially at the Pharmacy), in my experience. St. Catharines used to be a friendly town in general...not anymore, at least that is how it seems to me and many others I've met and have spoken with about such. According to the health department we have an epidemic of obesity and diabetes in Niagara Region. And a year ago I heard the Liberal government was going to take action on the unnecessary glut of salt in products stacked on grocery shelves. I'm not holding my breath on that promise. In any case, if you fall into this category I suggest wise shopping because I have never seen such an unbelievable amount of salt, sugar, fat, and carbs packed in one place in my whole life. read more

We recently bought an apple pie for our Thanksgiving dinner. My mother-in-law used to bake the best apple pie ever, that is until we had our first Zehrs apple pie. The crust was light and fluffy, the spices were just right and the apples were baked to perfection. We definitely would serve this pie to guests. Problem is, can we say it's home made and not feel guilty? read more

The employees of this store are quite unhelpful. If something isn't found on the shelves and you ask for help they just say if you cn't see it it's not there. Also once asked the woman working in the sushi department to ask her manager to stock brown rice sushi for diabetics and she said right out no, go to another sotore.
