Although the staff was great, the laser treatment I received did absolutely nothing for my legs.

Not worth it. Will charge you $10 per mani/pedi nail polish removal, if you have a shellac. They struggled and spent long time on removing my polish. Never told me about those charges even when I was booking an appointment through phone also it was not shown in there brochure. Ended up $100+ with unsatisfactory service as I left with flawed nail polish. Compare to my regular nail salon now where they have no charge of shellac removal, cost me $80+ for both mani and pedi (shellac). Most of all, leaving their business satisfied. read more

I went to Zealous Medispa this afternoon for a facial after a birthday special phone offer. I was extremely impressed with both the establishment and Mallory the esthetican who preformed the service. The atmosphere is clean, modern and welcoming. High quality products tailored to my skin type were used during the facial. Mallory was friendly, knowledgable and answered any questions I had. The room was very clean and quiet away from entryway traffic which was great. Prices are reasonable for services and there is specials as well. It is easy to book further appointments and plenty of parking/ easy access to bus routes. Thanks for the wonderful service, I will be back again soon! read more

Had gel nails put on about a month ago for my wedding only the next day later. I cannot honestly recommend anyone to this business. After they finished, my nails were wavy and deformed looking. The nail polish was wrinkled. They were peeling off within 24 hours and there were so many large bubbles that caused dirt to get stuck so it looked like they were speckled black. I've tried to get ahold of them but I'm always given the excuse the manager isn't in or when I do leave a message no one calls or emails back. I was so embarrassed about my nails I did not allow the photographer to take any pictures of my hands. read more

I had an appointment at 12 noon, Wednesday, June 27th, at the 390K Provencher Blvd location for gel nails, a pedicure, eyelash tinting. I will not be back! The price I was quoted on the phone when I made my appointment was NOT honoured. The gel nails look terrible and the pedicure was not done to my satisfaction even though I requested a more thorough job! Any of my comments on the procedures where just brushed off both by the staff member performing the service and by other staff in the vicinity. It took 2 hours for just the gel nails. They are so thick at the centre that the tips appear to curl down like claws! I specifically told her that I do not like or want French nails. I wanted only sparkle on the tips. She insisted the tips needed to be painted white for the sparkle to show. You don't see the sparkle - only the white!! After it taking her 2 hours, there is no way I had time for her to correct her mistakes. I did mention a few times that the centre of the nails were too thick - again, my comments were brushed off! A trip to the Spa is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable NOT frustrating. And a person shouldn't have to be in a panic that you will never get out on time. Also, I am very disappointed that a price that is quoted when an appointment is made is NOT the price they charge! That is false advertising! read more

I decided getting a facial before my birthday would be great, checked online and found zealous and since its close to my area, why not. I have facials and spa experiences all over the world. I have developed a very good knowledge base on my skin and what to expect in a spa day. I felt the staff were not as knowledgabl i'd expect. As for many years I was diagnosed with oil blemish prone skin as is my whole family and i follow a specific treatment regime to treat this. Zealous spa stated i had dry skin. I felt rushed when attempting to asked some questions. I was discussing my choice of more natural base products and the ingrediants and the properties they do. My spa attendant stated they are not quality products. She offered their line of products they sell. Couldn't provide too much information, but went to highlight it had a certain ingrediant. That same ingrediant she was promoting was what I was discussing in my line of products. A spa is suppose to be a relaxing experience, absoutly not the case here. Once I was arrived in the spa room. It was impossible to relax due to the other co staff and likely my spa attendant walking loudly outside the rooms, giggling and laughing, discussing yesterday nights exploits n a loud tone. When asked if conversation amongest co workers could be done ina break room or away from where we are trying to relax, a brief apology. However it continued on. The facial was rushed and a little pushy towards the end for their products. Wont be returning back or recomending. read more

Wanted to try a new spa place and I found this on the Internet. It seemed like reasonable prices and my mom had been here before saying it was good. So my friend and I booked appointments, me for shellac and her a pedicure. During both appointments was fine, but my nails turned out lumpy and some spots were missed. I mentioned it and the technician said that was normal and it would even out. We soon left and when my friend got home her nails were smudged, even though the woman who did her pedicure said they were dry. Mine chipped the next day. Would never go back there. The worst part is I ordered my mom a gift certificate for her birthday, which never got shipped. I had to call back twice for them to finally send it out. This was over a month ago. I had gel nails applied here and the first time the girl did not apply them properly they broke and pealed off then after going back a second time a different girl told me the first girl did not apply them properly... it really was a terrible job! the second time the nails broke and pealed off again. I tried to speak to the owner of the salon and the receptionist just would not allow it under any circumstances. It is as if the owner was hiding ... what terrible terrible customer service and gel nails that would only last me 5 days. I was not willing to go back a 3rd time to redo my nails in such a short period of time. I would never recommend this place to anybody. read more

Please read about my experience with Zealous Spa and keep it in mind when considering using their services. I went to Zealous for a mani/pedi and eyelash extensions. I was not aware that my contacts had to be removed for the lash treatment, but was assured by the staff that they had contact solution and a container.  I removed my contacts and placed them along with the provided solution in a shallow plate. I finished the treatment with no issues and after 5 to 10 minutes after the treatment, I was advised to put my contacts in my eyes. Immediately my right eye started to burn with intense pain.  I fought my way through the pain and tried my left contact.  Again extreme pain.  The staff member kept saying "do not get water in your eyes as it will ruin the eyelashes" as she scolded me for ruining the pedicure. After 20 minutes , she suggested that I call someone as it was obvious I could not use the contacts to drive home. I called my daughter, who brought me my glasses. My daughter who is in the medical field looked at my eyes and indicated it did not look like an allergic reaction and I should see an eye doctor ASAP. Wanting to leave as soon as I could I paid for the treatment and left.  At  no time did the staff attempt to assist me other than indicate "do not get your lashes wet".  Ironically the emergency eye doctor said my eyes should have been flushed with water immediately.  No one offered to call me a cab or provide a ride home, even though it was obvious my eye was swollen shut and tears were streaming down my face.  I went to an emergency eye clinic.  The Doctor indicated that I had chemical burns in both eyes with the left being quite severe.  Her opinion was my contacts had been stored in a corrosive chemical most likely nail solvent or peroxide.  She indicated that I had toxic keratitis from contamination of my lenses, leaving a burn/abrasion on 75 % of my cornea. I also had severe loss of vision in my left eye. She prescribed medication for my eyes, inserted a contact eye bandage and indicated she would have to monitor my vision to determine if the loss of vision was permanent. My vision slowly returned taking over a month to recover.  I contacted the Zealous spa several time trying to resolve the issue. When I indicated it had been three months since the incident and could we resolve it their response was - " I am aware of the time frame, if you chose to escalate this it is of your own decision". At no point did Zealous offer an apology nor acknowledge the pain/discomfort or offer to refund the cost of the service or the considerable cost of my OTC and prescribed medication. read more

Received eyelash extensions. Cleanliness wasn't there. Technician was pleasant, and did a good job of applying the extensions, however was constantly sniffling over me while applying them I'm worried I may catch a cold! hoping the extensions last! not likely to return. read more

Not very impressed. I got 3 - $20 gift certificates for Zealous Medispa from a social. I called a few days ago and said to the girl on the phone that I had 3 gift certificates and could I use them to get a pedicure. She said yes and booked me in for the time slot I requested. When I arrived this morning, I again asked. I pulled out the 3 gift certificates and confirmed that I was able to use them for my pedicure. She said yes. I then went and had the pedicure. It was an average pedicure. When I went to pay, I pulled out my gift certificates and only at that point did the girl tell me I could only use one per visit. It does not specify that on the certificate itself. And I asked TWICE about it. I was charged $30+ for this pedicure. Had I known that I couldn't use all the certificates, I would NOT have driven across the city. I would have gone to the salon in my neighborhood and got a nice pedicure with a design on my big toes for the same price that I paid for this pedicure. It seems like a bait and switch operation. It should say on the certificates that you can only use one per visit. And it should have been clarified when I asked about it - twice. I will not be returning to this salon. And would not recommend it either. On a side note, staff kept coming up to reception to chat. They talked about what they did last night. And their dogs. And they whispered and giggled. It was not the environment that I expected. read more
