For the wings themselves, they get a 5 Star rating; they are the best around. For their Door Dash website, they get a 2. There is no place on their order page that lets you get the wings without any sauce on them! They used to have a way to add special requests, but they took that off the door dash site. I used to be able to put in an order and call them and ask that the sides on all our wing orders be put on the side, which they were glad to do. Today, I couldn't get through their phone to make that request; it was always busy or just rang and rang and went to a voice message. Didn't bother leaving one there. So now we have 4 orders of traditional wings coming covered in sauce instead of plain w sauce on the side. And one person likes his plain with ranch dressing to dip in. I could go and do this on Grub Hub; their page there accommodates these requests, but Door Dash is much more reliable on deliveries. I have even e-mailed their corporate office requesting that they add these options, plain and sauce on the side, but never heard anything back. This was my second and last time going to this location, but I won't say I won't visit another Zaxby's location.... My first time visiting any Zaxby's was last month and I ordered a chicken club sandwich that was ok... Today I ordered hot wings and they were not good.. I'm not one for breaded hot wings, but as long as they're good I'm ok... Anyhow, the wings don't come with fries and they're $11.99 for a 10 piece, $21.99 for a 20 piece... I placed an order for 2 10 pieces, but the cashier taking the order said so you want a 20 piece??? I'm thinking cool save me some money, I appreciate that... I said yes, but can I get 2 flavors (tongue torch and inferno)?? The cashier said yes and I also ordered a basket of fries (2.99)... I'm in Texas so the tax is 8.25%, so I'm like ok total is $27 and some change.. The cashier says $29.20 is your total, and I'm adding like ehhh no should be a little less.. I drive to the pickup window and he says the total again ($29.20)... I said well I'm only ordering a 20 piece with 2 flavors, can I get the 2 flavors with a 20 piece and he says no... I said ok I'll just take the 20 piece with the tongue torch sauce and a basket of fries... He leaves the window and appears to tell the cook or someone behind the counter area something... He returns and says $29.20, and there are cars lined up behind me at this point... I'm like ok and repeated my order: a 20 piece wings with tongue torch sauce and a basket of fries... Similar to Raising Cane's concept but with a little more depth to the menu. I got the chicken strips which were pretty standard. They have crinkle cut fries which I generally don't like but theirs are better than most. Onions rings are greasy but fortunately don't break apart when eating them. Their toast is very good, the chicken strips and fries are a close second to canes. Their sauce is good, but not even close to as good as Canes sauce. I gave this place four stars initially because I lucked out and ordered what's probably their biggest strength on my first visit. Their traditional wings are really good. The hot honey mustard seasoning is fantastically tasty. The $5.29 combo for five wings, fries and a drink (with the great small ice) is a steal. So my daughter and I go in and order our meal, get our food, but we were given no sauce. Here's where it gets really funny. I asked for their "signature sauce" called ironically enough, Zaxby's sauce. The assistant manager tells me that it is twenty five cents per packet. Why in the world would you charge for your own sauce. That is like a BBQ place charging for their BBQ sauce that makes them famous. Or an Italian restaurant charging extra for spaghetti sauce, unbelievable. This was the last straw for me. If you do go here, make sure you go get extra cash, and be prepared to receive subpar service. pretty good fast food. almost identical to raising cane's--in fact, i think there's some talk about one copying the concept and everything from the other. the sauce--like cane's--is really good. the chicken fingers have a bit more seasoning on them and have a slightly different texture than cane's. the french fries aren't that great, but okay...at least the one's i've had. the inside is actually really nice and comfortable. all seats are booths, for whatever that's worth. i never eat fast food, but if i'm in this area again, i'll give them a visit read more

The fries are good but nothing special, still tasty none the less. Was not a fan of the coleslaw, and I really enjoy a good cup of slaw. I have driven by this place for a year and wanted to try it. I think what kept me from coming was that all they served was chicken. I was craving chicken strips so I decided to give this place a try. I got their chicken strips with their nuclear sauce and their fries. The fries were really addicting. I love the seasoning they put on it. I literally can just go for the fries, haha! The chicken was good too. It was not soggy because of the sauce and they were very tender. The sauce was a bit sweet but not to where it was annoying. it definitely was not nuclear though. If you are going to use that word please let the sauce live up to it. I can see my self coming here from time to time. The prices are ok for me. Worst decision. I don't know where to begin. We should have left after seeing no one else was there. But alas we placed our order and our food was ready shortly after. The food was luke warm and not too appetizing but not much we could do. We noticed something dark in our drink cups. After some investigating, we realized it was the ice! The bottom of the cup was full of black stuff. My husband went to the counter to let them know. The staff didn't seemed surprised and gave him ice from a machine behind the counter. Love their buffaload chicken zalad...very spicy and you get a fair amount of food...delicious without any salad dressing. My daughter likes their chicken nibbler. We go through their drive-thru every other week. Usually the service is fast but on two occasions now they have left something out of the bag which I didn't discover until I got home. When it comes to fries I'm a little bit of a picky eater. They have GREAT crinkle cut fries. They are even good 30 minutes after you order them. Chicken is great tossed in a sauce or not. You can't go wrong with the nibblets. Those are chicken strips on small buns. WONDERFUL! (Probably not so good for you.) During the week they do nightly specials. So ask about that. I love chicken. Love it. Obsessed. I thought I would give this place a try since I love chicken, and chicken express is a bit of a drive. I walked in and thought ok this looks kind of cool, it's big, clean, and they have a chicken fingers and wings, and you can't go wrong with chicken and wings. The hubs and I both got the chicken finger plate and thought man that's a lot of food. I also love, love, love Texas toast, so score. I also really liked that the chicken fingers had flavor, that's usually pretty rare, but these were great. Now a list of the things I didn't like, the wait was forever long and we were the only people there for a good while, onion rings were stone cold but they were given to is for free for some reason so I'll shut up about them. I'm also not crazy about crinkle cut fries but it looks like I'm the only one. The most horrendous thing I think was that they didn't have gravy to dip the delicious bread in. This place is right by my house, so when it opened, I was excited. My first experience there was right after they opened and I don't think they'd gotten their stuff together yet. It improved on the second visit. We got a little hooked on the place for a while, but it's just not great. We always found those weird chewy tendon things in their chicken and it's just not right. We got a little burnt out on it and now, we'd rather drive across town to Cane's. Sorry Zax. I did love the fried cheese, but it's not worth going for just that. read more
