Absolutely loved visiting Zaragoza, a mere 90 minutes away from Barcelona by high speed train. In fact one of my favorite cities to visit in my limited vocabulary of 5 cities in España. The city is so clean. The streets are spacious. The shops filled with quality goods. Prices lower than some of the larger nearby cities. The City Square boasts the largest square in all of Spain! Beautiful historical buildings. Multiple museums. Besides city central which includes all the historical buildings, cathedrals, Mercado de Centrale Zaragoza, be sure to pre-book your ticket to see the beautiful Aljiferia Palace! Festival of Flowers in October. Celebrations at Easter. So much richness and history abound. Zaragoza, strategically located, played important history in the many battles in Spain. Our tour was supposed to last about 2 hours but because Edurne made it so interesting and fun, all the questions fielded by our group of twelve participants drew the tour out an additional half hour.
