Bruno Mars? What are you doing working at Zara?
Lorraine A.

Hit and miss. Either you get something really awesome or there is nothing to buy. Customer service is ok. One day my brother and I came in and one of the male salesman looked like a young version of Bruno Mars lol made our day.

Popped into the Disney Store today for their twice yearly sale and so glad we did! Snagged a set of Disney Ornaments for the Christmas tree - Regularly $34.50 CDN for $9.99 as well as a few other great goodies. The staff are ALWAYS polite and helpful - Odd, something not always found these days! I also like their new location (they used to be upstairs near the Apple Store and now they are almost in the same spot downstairs on the opposite wall. The store is larger and now has items from Disney's newest acquisitions including Muppets and Spider Man, etc. Anytime we stop by West Ed we always visit the Disney Store!

The staff gave paper masks to everyone that wanted to participate in the parade so myself and a plethora of 6 year olds decided to dress up like Disney characters and walk around the store to some lovely Disney marching music. After having an enjoyable time participating in the parade, I quickly dropped an unplanned $200 on my 3 favourite things: Star Wars, Spider-Man, and Frozen. Needless to say, I love going into the Disney Store because it makes me feel like a kid again. You'd be hard pressed to find better customer service these days anywhere else. A friendly staff member even reached onto the top shelf to get my big stuffed Sven. Thank you Disney Store for being so welcoming and ending each and every transaction with, "Have a Magical Day."

I even bought a Uniqlo down vest, from a special Uniqlo vending machine, in the Las Vegas airport! I love that these clothes are simple, stylish, good quality and very usable. I own a variety of Uniqlo items such as Heat Tech shirts, down filled vests, bra, and casual pants. I love how you can layer these clothes. A lot of their clothing comes in solid colours. You can easily mix and match the shirts, sweaters, vests and jackets. Their down filled jackets and vests are lightweight and great for travelling. This new store located in West Edmonton Mall is awesome! It legit looks like the awesome stores I visited in California! They have clothing for women, men and kids. The prices are also pretty good! On my first visit I saw items ranging from $12-$100. Today was opening day and it was crazy busy! The long lineups outside the store were unbelievable! Uniqlo was giving a lot of swag away. They gave free tote bags to the first 200 people in line before 10am. They also had a deal for a free Uniqlo tote bag, with a $75 purchase. They were also giving away Heat Tech Crew Neck Long Sleeves T-shirts with all purchases. I wanted to buy a bunch of things once I got inside the store. However, I gave up that dream when I saw the super long and winding lineup (almost as long as the lines outside of the store) for the cashiers. I was a bit bummed to leave empty I handed, but I knew I'll be back. I'll wait until the excitement settles down a bit, before I return. It totally makes sense to have this store in Edmonton. We need warm and cozy clothes for most of the year here! These types clothes make up the majority of our closets! I'm glad we have this store in Edmonton! I hope they expand and open more Uniqlo stores here!

They have a lot of great clothing styles that I could see myself wearing that is if I actually could fit into their items. I really like their selection of jeans; they have some really nice styles that form fitting and are meant to make you look great. Their jeans seem to be mostly priced at $49.90, which is pretty reasonable considering how great their jeans look. Now that spring and summer is coming up pretty fast the short skirts and shorts are coming out. I saw some really cute short skits and shorts at Abercrombie and Fitch, just incase you were wondering where you can find some. They currently have an end of the season sale so you can find some great looking items for a bit of a cheaper price, which is always nice. I even like their men's section. They have some really great colors and styles that would look fantastic on any guy. It seems like their style of clothes fit into the "varsity" look, so guys who have a bit of a build would look super in these styles. I'm not saying that whippy guys, like my boyfriend, wouldn't look good in them but that's just who I picture wearing these clothes. Okay enough of that. The store itself is very modern and it has that exclusive members only kind of feeling. The men's section is separated from the women's and you need to walk into the place a little before seeing their clothes. But the store is really nice and classy looking. The staff is really nice and helpful.

It turns out, I wasn't completely right. I wasn't completely wrong either though! This is a pretty preppy store and, maybe it was just like this on the day I went, everyone in the store fit that mold. The preppy look isn't really my look so I didn't find a lot in this store that I loved, but I did find some really cute denim skirts! They were great because they were adorable, stylish, and they weren't really overpriced. And they reminded me that spring is just around the corner! They also have some pretty cute jeans here. And, let's be honest, $50 for a pair of jeans is not unreasonable in today's world. They have some cute stuff, not all of it is my style, but I'm sure it is somebody's!

That being said, the sales associates are extremely friendly and will go to any lengths necessary to find the right size, even phoning other stores and getting it shipping to their location for your pick up at no extra cost. They have something for everyone in the store, granted you're willing to burn a hole in your bank account- I guess that's why the customer service is so good. They have all the high end brands from Hugo Boss to Gucci to Lacoste to Salvatore Ferragamo to Fred Perry and other higher end designer clothing. If you something that is not quite your size, then their in-house tailer is brought up right away and tailored to your exact measurements. I remember the original Harry Rosen when it was just one small unit. Now it has expanded to three store lengths and offers a wide variety of suits, dress shirts, ties, dress and casual shoes, and also casual (but still high end) clothing. The service sets the standard for high-end clothing in West Edmonton Mall.
