The waitress was friendly enough, the ambience was old Czech cozy pub. This was the only eatery/vendor that only took cash, and of course, I had none on me! Fresh shredded carrot mixed with a bit of fresh shredded horseradish...delicious, and a great way to clear your nostrils! 62CZK/$2.80 Glass of White Wine...perfect with my fish dinner, and I love these Czech prices!!!

Egon Schiele Cafe would normally be my choice for an afternoon glass of wine or romantic cocktails…read more This time we were a party of 15. We were arriving at Cesky Krumlov at dinner time. Egon Shiele Cafe is a small cozy place and isn't really designed to serve dinner. So we called the owner a few days in advance. The owner, his mom and their only employee - the most beautiful waitress in Krumlov turned out night into an amazing dining experience. We had a fresh tartar steak, delicious chili con carne and carefully assorted cheese plates. I also loved their creamy yogurt dessert with marzipan and peach. Good wine, premium spirits, live music and very friendly service made our night in Cesky Krumlov really special. Thank you!

These were nice and quite refreshing. We had pear fizz and Medovina, honey wine, as our second round drinks. I thought the second-round drinks were quite a bit sweeter and may be too much so for some, but I still enjoyed them. The ambience was very nice and relaxing. The place was full even on a rainy night, but there was still enough room to move about while not feeling too crowded. Service was very good and attentive.

It has been recently reconstructed, so the furniture is brand new and there is a bit more space than there used to be. During the day it is usually about 80% empty, but if you are planning to go there on friday / saturday night and you need to sit a bigger crowd, it is probably wise to make a free table reservation over the phone. Coctails are always great (they are not overly diluted, like they are in the dance club nearby (like wtf)), the selection is very wide. Selection of drinks in general is huge as well, from the bottom (usual czech Rum&Coke) to premium brands of vodka, champagne, exotic rums, etc.. Coffee is also worth mentioning, it comes from a newly opened local roastery and it is just wonderful. Staff and the owner are always friendly (no, not just to regulars, like myself), so if you ever find yourself in this lovely small town in need of a drink or a cup of coffee, make sure to give this place a visit.

Although it is not the best I've ever had, it's pretty good for the small town square. I ordered the kit kat flavor which was DELICIOUS and had little chunks of kit kats in it.
